Wedelstadt Holds Off Czarapata for First Modified Win of 2025

(May 9, 2025) — Tony Wedelstadt withstood a last-lap charge from former track champion Jason Czarapata to claim his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the season at Luxy Raceway. The Combined Locks racer launched to the lead at the drop of the green flag and built a sizable advantage as Czarapata settled into second. While Wedelstadt looked dominant up top, Czarapata began reeling him in during the closing laps, setting up a thrilling finish. Czarapata, the 2014 Luxy Raceway and 2012 Wisconsin State champion, made a bold move on the final circuit, but Wedelstadt held his ground, narrowly edging out the veteran racer at the line. Josh Long, the 2019 Wisconsin State titleholder, completed the podium after a consistent run in third. Hellman Claims First IMCA Stock Car Win at Dacotah Speedway

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (May 9, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Dacotah Speedway was a thrilling battle for the lead, with Scott Gartner initially leading the charge. However, Geoff Hellman made his move on lap two and quickly distanced himself from the pack. Gartner then found himself under pressure from Jason Meidinger, and a mistake off turn two allowed both Meidinger and Todd Carter to slip by. As the race wore on, the battle for fifth became the focal point with Aaron Aaseth, Andrew Jochim, and Brock Beeter fighting hard for position. Hellman, though, was untouchable out front, crossing the finish line for his first career IMCA Stock Car feature win in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Janke Dominates Modifieds for First Win on New Shawano Surface

By Brandon Reichenberger SHAWANO, Wisc. (May 10, 2025) — After much anticipation, Mother Nature finally cooperated to allow 200 truckloads of new clay to be laid on Shawano Speedway. The new surface produced multi-groove racing, little dust, and plenty of speed as the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds headlined the action-packed night. Tanner Janke made the most of the fresh track, taking control early and holding off a strong charge from Lucas Lamberies to secure his first Razor Chassis North Central Region win of 2025. Janke, who started on the front row alongside his father Gary Janke, jumped to the lead and built a sizable advantage before the first of two cautions flew for a spin by Jason Yeager in turn four. On both restarts, Janke maintained his composure and pulled away, despite pressure from Lamberies, who had charged from eighth. Vanover Outlasts Chaos to Win Third Stock Car Feature at Eagle

(May 10, 2025) — Eagle Raceway hosted an action-packed Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature that saw Kyle Vanover prevail in a wild, caution-filled race, capturing the victory after a flurry of lead changes and intense battles throughout the 1/3-mile oval. It was the Beatrice driver’s third win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and his second win at Eagle in 2025. Ryan Gilland jumped to the early lead holding off challenges from Dylan Haney, Mike Scheinost, and Cash Beckman in the opening laps. Beckman moved into fourth on lap three, then advanced to second by lap five as Kyle Vanover followed suit to take third. With extra cash and Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational eligibility on the line, every lap was fiercely contested — and Brandon Durbin of Colona, Illinois, made the most of it. Durbin dominated his heat race to earn the pole for the 20-lap main event. Once the green flag dropped, he set a blistering pace and led every circuit to score his first Razor Chassis North Central Region win of 2025. With the win he is now eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational to be run at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s later this summer. Manning Rolls to Second IMCA Modified Win at Bakersfield

(May 10, 2025) – 2024 Bakersfield Speedway champion Gavyn Manning continued to build momentum towards a 2025 title, winning his second Friesen Performance IMCA Modified race of the season during round four at Bakersfield Speedway at Kevin Harvick’s Kern Raceway on Saturday night. Manning and Austin Kiefer claimed the IMCA Modified heat races before Manning lined up tenth for the 30-lap, $750-to-win feature. Incoming second in points Brad Pounds tagged the turn four wall for a caution on lap nine. The restart allowed Kiefer and Manning to challenge race leader Justin Crockett. (May 9, 2025) — Travis Hagen capped off a milestone week with a dominant performance in the 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Williston Basin Speedway. A week after he and his wife Makenzie welcomed a baby girl, the eight-time Williston track champion drove to his third win of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Chris Tuchscherer made an early charge, getting around Dalton Flory for second on lap six before the caution waved on lap 10. Hagen nailed the restart, but 2017 National champion Jason Wolla began his march to the front, battling past Tuchscherer to take over second. Egbert’s first Baby Blue Harcrow Memorial win at Heart O’ Texas Speedway didn’t come easy, but the 2008 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified National champion rose to the occasion in the $3,015-to-win 30-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Matt Guillaume, a three-time EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region titleholder, dominated the early laps after starting from the pole, while Egbert moved into second on lap 7 after slipping past reigning track champion Paul White. Guillaume built a comfortable lead but hit traffic shortly after, giving Egbert a chance to close in.
