Wallace Rockets to Victory at Lincoln County

(May 10, 2025) — Ronnie Wallace of McCook showcased veteran skill and raw speed in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Lincoln County Raceway, storming from ninth to capture his first Jet Racing Central Region win of 2025. Wallace took control on lap nine and never looked back, holding off Ayden Steffens and Magnolia, Texas’ Troy Seidl, who rounded out the podium in second and third, respectively. Cooper Claims Hometown SportMod Win North Platte’s Joseph Cooper made a statement in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature, charging from sixth to the lead on the 12th circuit. Olmstead Cashes in at RPM with Hobby Stock Victory

By Sheldon Wickwar HAYS, Kan. (May 10, 2025) — The Sunoco Hobby Stocks closed out the show at RPM Speedway with Zach Olmstead completing a weekend sweep after winning at Colby the previous night. The B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region standout secured his seventh victory of the season in ten starts, taking command late in the 20-lap main event after a bobble by Dylan Bell opened the door. Olmstead charged from deep in the field to grab the lead and never looked back. Bell, who led for a good portion of the race, settled for second but maintained his stellar season streak of top three finishes in all seven of his starts. Whitman Motors to Modified Win in Outagamie Opener

By John Tienor SEYMOUR, Wis. May 9, 2025) — Suamico’s Johnny Whitman picked up the caution free, 20-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway’s season opener. Whitman started sixth on the grid and immediately motored towards the front where he challenged polesitter Adam Abbey and Jayden Schmidt in a three car duel for the lead. Whitman wrestled the top spot away from Schmidt on lap 13 and steadily built a comfortable cushion in the final circuits to score the win, his second in the Razor Chassis North Central Region and first since winning 141 Speedway’s opener back in early April. Sabin Sails to First Hobby Stock Win of 2025 at Boone

By Coty Mallicoat BOONE, Iowa (May 10, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks were the final race of the night at Boone Speedway, and it would be a wild one at “Iowa’s Action Track.” From early on, it appeared that John Watson and Joe Doran had the fastest cars on the track. However, as the race was sorted out, they both could see the leaders out front, but several caution flags continued to reset their momentum. Watson, who started 12th, and Doran, who started 18th, failed to get to the lead before the race’s end. Meanwhile, Kolby Sabin and Cory VanderWilt worked up from their fourth row starting positions to the front. Jadan Bowling Dominates in Sprint Car Return to the Gap

(May 10, 2025) — For the first time ever, the Carolina Sprint Tour made its way to the famed high banks of Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap— and Sprint Cars returned to the track for the first time in nearly four years and featured a strong 16 car field of RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Cars. After the redraw, Derrek Treece started from the pole position and led the field to green for 25 laps. But at the drop of the green, Treece had a sluggish start, allowing George Loux to shoot to the lead. On lap 8, Biscuit Williams came to a stop, bringing out the race’s lone caution. Kepner Selinsgrove Winner

By Frank Buhrman SELINSGROVE. Pa. (May 10, 2025) — If you looked at Kruz Kepner’s record in the first two River Valley Builders PA Sprint Series races in 2025, this was inevitable. First the veteran from Kreamer fell victim to circumstances and started 25th in the season opener at Port Royal, then roared through the field to finish sixth. Then, at his home track, Selinsgrove, less than 10 miles away, he started fourth and finished a strong third. Saturday night, back at Selinsgrove, he drew the pole, led all the way and scored his first win of this year, second at Selinsgrove, and seventh of his career. But it wasn’t easy. Josh Spicer trailed the no. 19 “Kruz Missile” for most of the show, but he lost his position to Logan Spahr in the closing laps. Wedelstadt Holds Off Czarapata for First Modified Win of 2025

(May 9, 2025) — Tony Wedelstadt withstood a last-lap charge from former track champion Jason Czarapata to claim his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the season at Luxy Raceway. The Combined Locks racer launched to the lead at the drop of the green flag and built a sizable advantage as Czarapata settled into second. While Wedelstadt looked dominant up top, Czarapata began reeling him in during the closing laps, setting up a thrilling finish. Czarapata, the 2014 Luxy Raceway and 2012 Wisconsin State champion, made a bold move on the final circuit, but Wedelstadt held his ground, narrowly edging out the veteran racer at the line. Josh Long, the 2019 Wisconsin State titleholder, completed the podium after a consistent run in third. Hellman Claims First IMCA Stock Car Win at Dacotah Speedway

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (May 9, 2025) — The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Dacotah Speedway was a thrilling battle for the lead, with Scott Gartner initially leading the charge. However, Geoff Hellman made his move on lap two and quickly distanced himself from the pack. Gartner then found himself under pressure from Jason Meidinger, and a mistake off turn two allowed both Meidinger and Todd Carter to slip by. As the race wore on, the battle for fifth became the focal point with Aaron Aaseth, Andrew Jochim, and Brock Beeter fighting hard for position. Hellman, though, was untouchable out front, crossing the finish line for his first career IMCA Stock Car feature win in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Vanover Outlasts Chaos to Win Third Stock Car Feature at Eagle

(May 10, 2025) — Eagle Raceway hosted an action-packed Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature that saw Kyle Vanover prevail in a wild, caution-filled race, capturing the victory after a flurry of lead changes and intense battles throughout the 1/3-mile oval. It was the Beatrice driver’s third win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and his second win at Eagle in 2025. Ryan Gilland jumped to the early lead holding off challenges from Dylan Haney, Mike Scheinost, and Cash Beckman in the opening laps. Beckman moved into fourth on lap three, then advanced to second by lap five as Kyle Vanover followed suit to take third. A lap six caution for Dana Deeke’s slowing car reset the field, but the restart led to a major melee when Beckman looped it in turn two, collecting Dan Jackson, Shane Stutzman, and Nick Beckman. Durbin Dominates Modifieds at Davenport

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 9, 2025) — Davenport Speedway played host to a thrilling Friesen Performance IMCA Modified showdown Friday night, as drivers battled for a nice $1000 to win payday and courtesy of Midwest Recyclers. With extra cash and Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational eligibility on the line, every lap was fiercely contested — and Brandon Durbin of Colona, Illinois, made the most of it. Durbin dominated his heat race to earn the pole for the 20-lap main event. Once the green flag dropped, he set a blistering pace and led every circuit to score his first Razor Chassis North Central Region win of 2025. With the win he is now eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational to be run at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s later this summer.
