Muscatine Mall race car show set for March 16

By Jerry Mackey MUSCATINE, Iowa (March 7, 2024) – The Muscatine Mall will be the site of the second annual pre-season Race Car Show hosted by Levi Gaunt Racing. Last year’s show was very well attended with a good sized group of race cars on display. The 2024 show promises to be even bigger and offers a lot more to race enthusiasts. Doors to the Muscatine Mall will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 16. (March 5, 2024) – The green flag flies for another of IMCA’s longest running specials when Beatrice Speedway hosts the 31st annual Spring Nationals on Friday and Saturday, March 15 and 16. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $2,500 to win, a minimum of $250 to start and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility each night of the traditional season opener for drivers from across much of the Central United States and points beyond. GREENVILLE, Texas (Feb. 26, 2024) – IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars are on the Saturday night card when Hunt County Raceway celebrates a Texas motorsports legend. The March 2 Smiley Sitton Classic main event for IMCA Sprints at Greenville pays $3,000 to win and a minimum of $300 to start. DUBUQUE, Iowa (Feb. 6, 2024) – IMCA Sunoco Late Models will have three opportunities to take home $2,500 this season in Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway’s Key City Challenge. By Jerry Mackey MAQUOKETA, Iowa (Jan. 25, 2024) – On Saturday, Feb. 3, Maquoketa Speedway will host the second annual pre-season race car show and racers’ swap meet The event will be held on the Jackson County Fairgrounds located on the east side of Maquoketa. Doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. and several of the drivers who will be competing regularly at Maquoketa Speedway in 2024 will have their race-ready cars on display. A racers’ swap meet will also be held, offering drivers and race teams the opportunity to buy and sell items needed to field a competitive race car.
