Northern SportMod Nationals at Britt boasts possible $4,000 payday

BRITT, Iowa – Winning the Tuesday, June 23 MaxYield Seed Northern SportMod Nationals at Hancock County Speedway could be worth as much as $4,000. The main event for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods pays a minimum of $2,500 to win. Five hundred dollar bonuses will be paid if the first-place driver is a previous event winner; has raced at least three times previously this season at Britt; and has won a regular season feature there this year. Twenty-four cars qualify and four more get sponsor provisionals. A 10-minute pit stop on the front straight is planned midway through the 40-lapper and the winner goes home with a six-foot tall trophy. IMCA Modified winner at 141’s Clash earns $10,000

FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. – 141 Speedway rolls out the red carpet for one of the top paying Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified events of the season on Wednesday and Thursday, June 24 and 25, sending the winner home with a check for $10,000. The Clash At The Creek is a qualifying race for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot. Qualifying begins on Wednesday and every driver taking the green in the main event earns a minimum of $750. IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods race for $500 to win in features Wednesday and Thursday. LUXEMBURG, Wis. – Luxemburg Speedway takes its turn hosting many of the top IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modified drivers in the nation for a $5,000 to win event on Friday, June 26. The 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot qualifier pays a minimum of $250 to start. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Belleville Motorsports North Central Region and Allstar Performance State points will be awarded. There is a $100 entry fee. DONNELLSON, Iowa – The Hawkeye Dirt Tour takes top billing at Lee County Speedway’s Thursday, June 18 Bud Night special. Touring Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win, a berth on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and a minimum of $150 to start. Carload special Tuesday for Wild West Shootout at Cottage Grove

By Ben Deatherage COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. – The fourth stop of the Wild West Modified Shootout will be at Cottage Grove Speedway on Tuesday, June 16. This event will feature some of the Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified best drivers in the Western United States and teams from all over the country will be in action. Twenty-five dollars will get a car, truck, or RV load full of fans into the races, which will get underway at approximately 6:45 p.m. Already this season, Jesse Williamson and Kinzer Cox have won twice in main event competition at Cottage Grove. Braedon Hand, Jason Kocks and Curtis Towns each have one win to their credit. CGS has hosted four Wild West Modified Shootout events with four different winners being produced. Last year, Alex Stanford and Nick Trenchard won while in 2012 it was Scott Lenz and in 2011 Jesse Williamson. The 2013 event was lost to weather.

Williamson seeks career third Wild West Shootout title

By Ben Deatherage EUGENE, Ore. – One of the top contenders to challenge for the fifth annual Wild West Modified Shootout crown is Eugene’s Jesse Williamson. The current Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modified campaign has treated him well with four feature wins in only a handful of starts. Two Modified main events have been won in the Modifieds at Cottage Grove Speedway while he also has won at the historic 1/4-mile clay oval in a late model. “It has been a good year so far,” said Williamson. “We’ve been fast every time but in a couple of races we’ve broke when contending for the win.” Williamson is the 2012 and 2013 Wild West Modified Shootout champion and is the only driver to repeat a Speedweek crown. Salina Speedway preview: Racing to stay dry

By Dusty Wiegert SALINA, Kan. – Three weeks ago racing returned to the Salina Speedway for only the second time in 2015. Opening night was three weeks before that night, and in all seven out of eight scheduled events have been affected by rain. It only seems fitting that this week the show gets in, as the focus will be on fundraising for Chloe Nelson. Chloe has a germ cell cancer. She started chemo at Children’s Mercy in Kansas City on Jan. 23. The night’s 50/50 effort will go towards off setting medical costs for Chloe and her family, as well as any donations that will gladly be accepted. On the track five divisions will highlight the evening, with the Auto House Mod Lite division taking center stage with two features, the first being the make up feature from May 22 with a complete show after that. Hawkeye Dirt Tour date at Oskaloosa rescheduled to July 15

OSKALOOSA, Iowa (June 11) – The IMCA Hawkeye Dirt Tour event scheduled tonight (Thursday) at Southern Iowa Speedway has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. The series for Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Modifieds now travels to Oskaloosa for a Wednesday, July 15 show. That’s the night before the Harris Clash, also part of the Hawkeye Dirt Tour, at Knoxville Raceway. Next up for the HDT is the Thursday, June 18 event on Bud Night at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson. IMCA Late Models will now run Wednesday, June 24 at Southern Iowa Speedway.
