Wahoo Ends Shryock’s Streak in Stock Cars at Kossuth County

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (July 31, 2025) — Kossuth County Speedway hosted a thrilling Thursday night program for the Harken/Hovinga Memorial Race. In the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature, Loren Pesicka Jr. took the early lead before giving way to Mike “Wahoo” Albertsen just two laps in. Behind him, a heated battle for second brewed between McCain Jennings, Kelly Shryock, David Wickman, Calvin Lange and Pesicka. Shryock eventually won that battle and slowly began reeling in Albertsen by the halfway point of the 20-lap main. With four laps remaining, Shryock was right on Albertsen’s rear bumper when a caution flew for a Zayn Feaster spin. Shryock threw everything he had at Albertsen on the restart, but the Audubon driver held his ground to score his second win of the season at Algona. Nelson Nabs $4,000 Inaugural Ole Olson Memorial in Nodak Nailbiter

By Ben Deatherage MINOT, N.D. (Aug. 3, 2025) — Jake Nelson of Williston outdueled a loaded field to win the inaugural Ole Olson Memorial at Nodak Speedway on Sunday night. The 40-lap feature for the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars headlined a program that drew 47 entries to the 3/8-mile at the North Dakota State Fairgrounds. Nelson’s $4,000 triumph marked his fourth win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and second of the weekend, following a victory at McLean County Speedway on Friday. It was also his first career win at the Playground of Power. Saskatchewan’s Gary Goudy Jr. set the pace early, running strong along the low groove until a lap five caution bunched the field. Suckow Scores First Stock Car Victory at Independence

By Christine Rublack INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (July 26, 2025) — Cole Suckow raced to his first-ever victory in a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car Saturday night at Independence Motor Speedway, taking charge early and never looking back. Riley Hanson and Brett Vanous waged a fierce battle for second with Tom Schmitt in close pursuit. As Hanson and Vanous ran side-by-side, Suckow extended his advantage and cruised to the checkers. Loverude Wins Modified Thriller by Inches at Arlington

(July 26, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature had the fans at Arlington Raceway on the edge of their seats with five different leaders in a race packed with drama. Jason Schroeder led the opening lap, but Todd Stinehart, who started eighth, wasted no time and took over on lap two. Trent Loverude, racing with a broken foot, worked his way into the battle by lap six, trading the lead back and forth with Stinehart. Clint Hatlestad was also right there, making it a thrilling three-way contest. A caution on lap 14 flew when Wayne Govig spun and collected J.J. Reimers. On the restart, Hatlestad powered around Stinehart, setting up a showdown with Loverude. The two exchanged the top spot three different times on the final lap alone. Trenchard Scores First Win of 2025 in Douglas County Modified Main

(July 25, 2025) — Nick Trenchard turned in a dominating performance to capture his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Douglas County Dirtrack — and he did it in classic fashion. The Klamath Falls veteran drove the Biehn Racing no. 54N to the checkered flag and earned his first win of 2025 in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. In the 25-lap main event, Bennett Bray paced the field on the opening lap until a caution for debris slowed the field. That allowed Trenchard, who started third, to seize the opportunity. On the restart, he threw a big slider into the first set of turns and took control on lap two. Roedl Outguns “The Hitman” for First Win of 2025

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 25, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Dan Roedl grabbing the lead at the drop of the green. Roedl opened up a lead on the field and looked set to grab an easy checkered flag, but “The Hitman” Johnny Whitman had something else in mind. Whitman, the current point leader and defending division champ, started his march to the front by sliding inside Jayden Schmidt on lap seven to move up to fourth. A lap later, Whitman picked off Tanner Janke for third. By lap 11, Whitman snuck past Konnor Wilinski to take second.
