
Whitman Charges to Modified Victory at Outagamie

(May 30, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Outagamie Speedway saw Cody Hokenstad hold off the pack at the drop of the green from his pole position. The field barely got one lap in before a quick yellow bunched the group back up. On the restart, Dan Roedl powered his way to the front, taking the lead on lap three. Roedl looked to check out early, but “The Hitman” Johnny Whitman was slicing through the field. Working the low side, Whitman wheeled his no. 08 machine into third by lap six, then charged around the high side to second just two laps later. At the halfway point, Roedl still led, but lap 11 was the turning point — Whitman hugged the infield tires and drove under Roedl to take over the lead.
