National champions, top 10 drivers in five IMCA divisions earn awards from Longacre

BOONVILLE, Ind. (June 21, 2024) – Longacre Racing Products recognizes the most accomplished drivers in five IMCA divisions this season. The Boonville, Ind., company is a division of the AFCO Performance Group, manufactures gauges, scales, specialty tools and chassis setup equipment, and gives a combination of product and product certificate awards to Friesen Performance IMCA Modified, IMCA Sunoco Late Model, IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod competitors. National champions receive a digital caster/camber gauge with AccuLevel while top 10 drivers in national standings in each of those divisions earns a $100 product certificate. Another $1,100 in product certificates has been designated for Modified drivers, with $500 going to the national champion, $350 to the runner-up, $250 to the third place finisher and $100 to the driver seventh in national standings. AFCO begins fourth decade as IMCA sponsor

BOONVILLE, Ind. (June 20, 2024) – AFCO begins a fourth decade of IMCA support, continuing awards for drivers in six divisions in 2024. The high performance shock, suspension, cooling and brake products manufacturer again gives those awards based on regional point standings for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, and on national standings for IMCA Sunoco Late Models, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods. Top three drivers in each of the five Modified regions earn product certificates valued at $250, $150 and $50, respectively, while both the Modified national champion and rookie of the year receive GM frame replacement kits. All Star Shootout Southern SportMod champion Trey Votaw

ELM MOTT, Texas (May 26, 2024) – Trey Votaw had one goal in mind when he signed up for the IMCA All Star Shootout Tour this year. Votaw had a successful run in 2023 but finished runner-up to Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMod champion Jeff Shepperd. The Elm Mott speedster knew he had the car to win if he could just put together the runs it would take to come out on top. On opening night at Southern Oklahoma Speedway, Votaw drew outside front row in his heat and went on to win, securing his place in the “A.” He then drew the seventh place start behind some very fast competitors.
