Wray checks forecast, then checks out at Beatrice Octoberfest

BEATRICE, Neb. (Oct. 11-12, 2024) – Cory Wray checked the forecast, then he checked out. The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified hotshoe from Trenton, Mo., made his first visit to Beatrice Speedway in five years for the season-ending Octoberfest special, leading all 25 laps of Saturday’s $2,000 to win feature. “We looked at the weather, saw it was going to be nice and decided to race one more weekend,” said Wray, newly eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. “It was a good way to end the season.” He’d started third and took the lead coming to the line at the end of lap one. A lap four caution bunched the field back together but Wray pulled away and was running in traffic late in the contest. Johnny Saathoff was second, Braxton Yeager third. Justin Zeitner motored from 15th starting to fourth for hard charger honors. Jordan Grabouski, most recently a three-time Octoberfest main event winner in 2020, topped Friday’s $1,000 to win feature for the Modifieds and both $750 to win features for the [Read More]

While that scrum was going on up front, Czarneski, who started 10th on the grid, quickly threaded his way through traffic, jumping into the third spot on lap four. Czarneski quickly closed in on the lead duo and a three car duel quickly evolved for the lead.  Czarneski worked the high line inches from the concrete retaining wall and the lead trio began weaving through lapped cars by lap eight. It’s big money for IMCA Modified winner Clay Money at Fall Nationals

HAYS, Kan. (Oct. 5, 2024) – Clay Money put the demons of 2024 behind him Saturday night at Hays. Points is The Man at Willamette

By Ben Deatherage LEBANON, Ore. (Sept. 28, 2024) – Trevor Points, a force to be reckoned with, once again showcased his dominance Saturday at Willamette Speedway.  Taking the lead shortly after a restart in the early stages, the Salem standout led the field in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature. The race kicked off with Jacob Shandy taking the lead on the first lap. However, Nate Turnidge was not far behind, keeping Shandy within his sights. With an impressive move outside of Shandy in turn two, Turnidge seized the top spot on the next lap. Before Turnidge could build a significant lead, the race’s first stoppage occurred on lap five. On the ensuing restart, Points entered the fray by getting around Shandy on the high side of turn two, ran down Turnidge, and got under and around the leader to perform the overtake out of turn four. From there, Points seemed to be in firm control of the lead as he had to deal with several restarts but, on the same token, did not get [Read More]
