Mike Mullen Has $10,000 Night with Brian ‘Crutch’ Crutchley Memorial Mod Lite Win

(Jul. 11, 2025) — Mike Mullen scored the biggest victory of his career in Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite competition Friday night at Brewerton Speedway, claiming $2,150 in purse and awards—and an additional $8,000 in the Motor Raffle—at the inaugural Brian “Crutch” Crutchley Memorial. Zach Sobotka and Mullen brought the 24-car field to green for the 33-lap main event, with Sobotka jumping to the early lead. However, a caution flew on lap two, and Sobotka broke on the restart, ending his night early. By lap five, Mullen was in front with points leader Joe Isabell in hot pursuit. Justin Williams, P.O. Berry Blazes Field in Marshalltown Modified Main Event

Dustin Kroening sat on the pole, with Jake McBirnie to his outside. But it was Marshalltown native Tom Berry Jr. who made quick work of the field, grabbing the lead early and leaving the rest behind. Berry cruised to a dominant win in the 20-lap finale, while Kollin Hibdon and McBirnie completed the podium. The win was Berry’s third of the season, coming at three different tracks, with two scored in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Nezworski Navigates to Second Late Model Win of Season

By Mike McGuire DAVENPORT, Iowa (Jun. 27, 2025) — Andy Nezworski picked up his second Sunoco IMCA Late Model feature win of the season at Davenport Speedway. Andy started the 25-lap main from the eighth position. After being mired in fifth for 10 laps, Nezworski used a lower line than others and began to move forward. With five laps to go, Andy got under race leader Dustin Smith. Once Nezworski cleared Smith, he pulled away. Smith held on for second with C.J. Horn taking third in a race that saw no caution flags. Paris Pounces Early in Modified Main Shane Paris scored his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory at Davenport. Paris led all 20 laps of the main after starting in the third position. Gustin Grabs Three Wins in One Night at Boone

By Coty Mallicoat BOONE, Iowa (Jun. 21, 2025) — Boone Speedway delivered a jam-packed doubleheader with 188 racecars in the pits for Farley Tire Smackdown and Hawkeye Challenge night. Rain had postponed the June 14 Smackdown program, setting up a rare two-show Saturday — and Jimmy Gustin stole the spotlight with a sweep of three feature victories across two classes. In the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified makeup feature, Gustin jumped from the second row and never looked back. The veteran driver fended off strong runs by Greg Elliott and Trevor Fitz. It was Gustin’s first Modified win of 2025 in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.
