Mackenthun Masters Arlington Sibley County Stock Car Shootout for Huge Payday

(July 30, 2025) — Dan Mackenthun made the most of a big night at his home track, scoring the biggest win of his career during the Sibley County Fair Stock Car Shootout at Arlington Raceway. The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car special paid $5,000 to win, and Mackenthun racked up an additional $1,725 for leading 23 of the 30 laps, plus a $100 bonus for his heat race win. His dominant effort also locked him into the prestigious B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational at this year’s Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. The triumph marked Mackenthun’s seventh of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and his fourth at the Arlington ½-mile. By Ben Deatherage BOONE, Iowa (July 26, 2025) — Dylan Thornton outdueled Kollin Hibdon in the late stages of a thrilling Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event Saturday at Boone Speedway, earning his first career win on the Hunting with Heroes Salute to Veterans Tour powered by Performance Bodies & Parts. The reigning Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s champion in both the Modified and Late Model divisions, originally from California and now living in Belle Plaine, Iowa, scored his fourth overall win of 2025 in the Modifieds and second in the Razor Chassis North Central Region — both at Boone. Thornton got the jump from the drop of the green and quickly set the tone, but multiple cautions early on interrupted the flow. Suckow Scores First Stock Car Victory at Independence

By Christine Rublack INDEPENDENCE, Iowa (July 26, 2025) — Cole Suckow raced to his first-ever victory in a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car Saturday night at Independence Motor Speedway, taking charge early and never looking back. Riley Hanson and Brett Vanous waged a fierce battle for second with Tom Schmitt in close pursuit. As Hanson and Vanous ran side-by-side, Suckow extended his advantage and cruised to the checkers. Hanson and Vanous completed the podium. Cordes Captures Modified Glory In the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Mike Burbridge led most of the way but it was Troy Cordes who scored the win in the closing laps. Burbridge looked strong out front as Jerry King and Keith Pittman chased. A tight three-car battle between Jacob Snyder, Mark Schulte, and Cordes shaped up behind them. Nelson Nabs Fifth Salute to Veterans Tour Victory in Hobby Stocks at Algona

By Greg Grabianowski ALGONA, Iowa (July 24, 2025) — The Salute to Veterans Tour rolled into Kossuth County Speedway for its biggest night of the season, and despite nearly two inches of rain in the previous 24 hours, track manager Kevin Long and his crew worked their magic to make the surface race-ready in just five hours. Dylan Nelson took advantage of the outside front row starting spot and led the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature from the start. A series of cautions slowed the action, including a lap five tangle between Parker Larson and Blake Luinenburg, and more yellows involving Brayden Fahmi and Trevor Iverson. Nelson continued to lead through each restart, with Skylar Pruitt staying within striking distance. The final caution flew with just two laps remaining due to debris in turn four, but it wasn’t enough to shake Nelson’s rhythm. Diercks and Dierks Win on Separate Nights in Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds

By Jerry Mackey TIPTON, Iowa (July 26, 2025) — Friday night’s Gary Reinhart Memorial feature at Cedar County Raceway for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds drew 27 entries for the $2,000-to-win main event. Spencer Diercks of Davenport charged through the field from his 10th starting position and took the lead on lap 16. Diercks hit his marks lap after lap to outdistance a stellar field and secure his ninth Razor Chassis North Central Region victory of the season. Izac Mallicoat crossed the stripe in second while Joel Rust completed the podium. Loverude Wins Modified Thriller by Inches at Arlington

(July 26, 2025) – The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature had the fans at Arlington Raceway on the edge of their seats with five different leaders in a race packed with drama. Jason Schroeder led the opening lap, but Todd Stinehart, who started eighth, wasted no time and took over on lap two. Trent Loverude, racing with a broken foot, worked his way into the battle by lap six, trading the lead back and forth with Stinehart. Clint Hatlestad was also right there, making it a thrilling three-way contest. A caution on lap 14 flew when Wayne Govig spun and collected J.J. Reimers. On the restart, Hatlestad powered around Stinehart, setting up a showdown with Loverude. The two exchanged the top spot three different times on the final lap alone. Partain Sweeps Both Nights at Show Low in Stock Cars

(July 26, 2025) — Bo Partain proved untouchable in Sunoco IMCA Stock Car competition at Deuce of Clubs Thunder Raceway, driving from ninth both nights to sweep the weekend and raise his win tally to five on the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, with four coming at the Arizona 1/4-mile oval. On Friday, he muscled past Grady Clements on lap six and never looked back.
