
Anderson Sweeps Modified Mains on Championship Night at CJ Speedway
By Jerry Mackey COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa (Aug. 8, 2025) — Season Championship Night at CJ Speedway also featured completion of the Larry Richardson Memorial features, postponed from July 24 during the Louisa County Fair. Those memorial races were run first, followed by the night’s championship events. In the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Logan Anderson recorded a clean sweep, winning both the Larry Richardson Memorial and Season Championship features. Kurt Kile chased Anderson to the checkers in the first main, with Dan Brockert finishing third. In the Season Championship feature, Anderson again took the win, this time ahead of Scott Brau. Kile broke early in the championship race but had built enough of a points cushion to win the track title by just one point over Anderson. Oliver Jr. and Wells Split Stock Car Victories In the Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, John Oliver Jr. dominated the Larry Richardson Memorial feature, leading the event flag-to-flag.
