HAYS, Kan. (May 10, 2025) — The Sunoco Hobby Stocks closed out the show at RPM Speedway with Zach Olmstead completing a weekend sweep after winning at Colby the previous night. The B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region standout secured his seventh victory of the season in ten starts, taking command late in the 20-lap main event after a bobble by Dylan Bell opened the door. Olmstead charged from deep in the field to grab the lead and never looked back.
Bell, who led for a good portion of the race, settled for second but maintained his stellar season streak of top three finishes in all seven of his starts. Mitchell Fischer completed the podium in third.
Tathan Burkhart Grabs First Win as a Dad
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars also ran a 20-lap main event which started with Brett Berry and Tathan Burkhart on the front row. Tathan took an early race lead and started pulling away from the double-duty driver of Berry. Berry made several attempts to close in on Tathan in lapped traffic but was never able to do so.
Tathan Burkhart secured his first win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region, and more importantly, the first one as a father! Second was Brett Berry while third was Quinton Yutterman.

Gottschalk Strongest in Modified Action
The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature kicked off with a front row of Drew Miller and Daniel Gottschalk. Gottschalk used his outside starting spot to pull away with the early race lead, with Dakota Sproul hot on his tail.
The closing laps saw Dylan Sherfick, Clay Sellard, and Clay Money enter the top five, but they did not have enough time to chase down Gottschalk and Sproul. Gottschalk earned his second win of the season in the Jet Racing Central Region, after winning in WaKeeney in April. Second was Dakota Sproul followed by Sherfick.

Tyler Watts Untouchable in SportMod Action
Tyler Watts took an early lead in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod finale and set a blistering pace, while Blaine Walt charged to second place but never saw the caution that he and the rest of the field were hoping for.
Watts dominated the feature to pick up his second win of the season, after a win in WaKeeney in April. Walt was second followed by Jack Kirchoff in third.

Kappel Strongest in Sport Compacts
The Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact main event began with a front row of Kaishen Brack and Jacob Kappel, but it was Dave Kappel who found the lead from his third place starting point.
Kappel clicked off laps with Brock Leibhart in tow. The duo battled closely throughout the event, but Leibhart was never able to get by Kappel, who went on to win his first feature of the season. Brock Leibhart and Kiowa Higdon were second and third.
