WILLISTON, N.D. (May 9, 2025) — Travis Hagen capped off a milestone week with a dominant performance in the 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at Williston Basin Speedway. A week after he and his wife Makenzie welcomed a baby girl, the eight-time Williston track champion drove to his third win of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Chris Tuchscherer made an early charge, getting around Dalton Flory for second on lap six before the caution waved on lap 10.

Hagen nailed the restart, but 2017 National champion Jason Wolla began his march to the front, battling past Tuchscherer to take over second. A final caution with seven laps to go set the stage for a showdown, but Hagen remained calm and composed, pulling away on the restart to secure the victory.

For Hagen, the win was a welcome high note in a week of personal celebration. Wolla kept the pressure on but had to settle for second, while Tuchscherer rounded out the podium.

Hagen Takes Stock Car Feature

Dalton Flory appeared to be on his way to victory in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature at Williston Basin Speedway, but a puff of smoke and a mechanical failure on lap eight handed the lead to Mike Hagen. The two-time track champion from Williston took over at the front and handled multiple restarts to stay in command.

Montana’s Ethan Neu applied pressure over the final nine laps, but Hagen was too strong, cruising to his first Stock Car win of the year in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Neu settled for second while Jason Storbakken claimed third.

For Hagen, the victory was especially meaningful. Along with celebrating his own feature win and his son’s triumph, he welcomed a new granddaughter the week prior. The night also brought a moment of reflection, as Hagen paid tribute to several loved ones lost over the past several months.

Young Gun Glasser Bests North Dakota’s Best in SportMod Opener

Keenan Glasser, the defending North Dakota State and track champion, led wire-to-wire to secure his first win of the season in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod main event. The 17-year-old from Estevan, Saskatchewan, held the top spot despite a pair of cautions that tightened the field.

Gabe Deschamp, the two-time reigning Tougher Than Dirt Tour champion, charged into second on a late restart but couldn’t reel in Glasser. Deschamp held off Tim Goodwin to complete the podium.

Satran Storms Through Field to Capture Hobby Stock Victory

Four-time North Dakota State champion Kyler Satran showed why he’s one of the best in the region, charging from sixth to win the 15-lap Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock main event. The Minot motorist sliced through the pack to take the lead from Aiden Paul on lap eight, then pulled away to earn his first win of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.

Paul held on to finish second, while 2023 track champion Taylor Heaton settled for third in a strong showing for the defending titleholder.
