BOONE, Iowa (Sept. 6, 2025) — Dylan Nelson of Adell became just the sixth driver in Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s history to win multiple Hobby Stock crowns, edging Blake Luinenburg in a dramatic 30-lap Big Dance at Boone Speedway.

Nelson, the 2019 Super Nats champion, paced the field from the opening lap after a complete restart from a crash before the initial trip around the oval and fought through a caution-filled contest that saw several slowdowns. Luinenburg, the 2024 Murray County and Worthington Speedway track champion, challenged late and briefly nosed ahead in the final set of corners.

Nelson countered low and won the drag race to the stripe by half a car length. Defending event champion Nathan Ballard improved 16 positions to finish third, Justin Frederick was fourth, and Dylan Bell of Kansas rounded out the top five.

Defending Stuart and Shelby County Speedway track champion Skylar Pruitt stormed from 27th to sixth, while Eric Knutson passed the most cars after starting next to dead last and finishing seventh. Joe Wollenhaupt ran eighth, Brayden Hurley advanced 15 spots from 24th to ninth, and Briar Kriegel completed the top 10.

The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV. Catch the replay with a monthly IMCA TV Replay Subscription for $24.99/month, and don’t miss Season 2 of the Boone Docuseries, streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
