VINTON, Iowa (July 24, 2025) — One of the most iconic stretches of the Speedway Motors IMCA calendar is back and bigger than ever as Iowa Speedweek returns to full strength in 2025. Running Monday, August 4 through Saturday, August 9, the week features six straight nights of high-stakes racing at five premier tracks, showcasing the depth and tradition of IMCA competition across the entire state.

The Speedweek opener takes place on Monday, August 4th at Buena Vista Raceway in Alta with the Battle at the Beaver. This event kicks things off with a powerful lineup with the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $2,000 to win and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars for $1,000. Also on the bill are the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts.

Tuesday, August 5 marks a major historical moment as the Harris Clash returns to the state of Iowa for the first time since 2017 — and to Boone Speedway for the first time since 1994. As IMCA’s oldest single-night special event, the Harris Clash is steeped in prestige and tradition. This year’s edition will feature Stock Cars for the first time ever, joining the Modifieds and SportMods in the spotlight. The Modifieds will compete for $4,000 to win, with Stock Cars racing for $3,000 and SportMods for $2,000 to win.

On Wednesday, August 6, the tour moves west to Spencer for the Clay County Clash, held at Clay County Fair Speedway as the rescheduled stop of the Salute To Vets Tour. This patriotic event offers a powerful five-division lineup, featuring $2,000-to-win features for both Modifieds and Stock Cars, $1,000 for SportMods and Hobby Stocks, and $300 to the top Sport Compact.

Thursday, August 7 brings the Schattschneider Memorial to Kossuth County Speedway in Algona, where both the IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars will race for top-tier payouts. Both divisions feature a lucrative purse structure paying $2,000 to win, with additional payouts of $1,200 for second, $1,100 for third, $1,050 for fourth, and $1000 for fifth. Also on the card are Hobby Stocks, SportMods, and Sport Compacts, making for a full and action-packed night of racing in honor of the Schattschneider legacy.

Iowa Speedweek wraps up with a two-night finale at Hancock County Speedway. On Friday, August 8, the Night of 1,000 Stars will pay $2,000 to the Modified winner and $1,000 to the top Stock Car. Saturday, August 9 brings the legendary Night of 10,000 Stars, highlighted by a $4,000-to-win Modified feature and another $1,000 prize for the Stock Cars. SportMods and Hobby Stocks will join the program both nights. Each night is a complete show, and Modified drivers who can sweep the weekend will pocket a $4,000 bonus, adding even more incentive to one of Iowa’s richest weeks in dirt racing.
