EAGLE, Neb. (Jun. 28, 2025) — Chad Andersen was on a mission in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Eagle Raceway. Cameron Thompson led the opening circuits with Tyler Harr close behind, but all eyes were on Andersen, who steadily picked off cars one by one. He cracked the top three by lap five and slipped into second a few laps later. By lap 12, he powered around Thompson for the lead and immediately began to stretch it out.
From there, Andersen hit his marks and left the rest of the field to battle behind him. Harr gave chase but never closed the gap as the laps clicked off. Thompson stayed solid in third to round out the podium. The win marked Andersen’s second of the season at Eagle and in the Jet Racing Central Region column.
Richards Rallies Late for Fourth Stock Car Win
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature turned into a mid-race slugfest, and Mason Richards was up for the challenge. He worked his way forward after early leader Marty Steinbach surrendered the top spot to Ryan Gilland on lap seven. Richards found the low line to his liking, drove under both Gilland and Steinbach, and claimed the lead on lap 10.
Chad Andersen, doubling back after his Modified win, powered through the field into second and made a serious bid for the lead in the final laps. Richards, however, didn’t flinch despite bobbling in turns three and four late in the going. He kept his momentum and held Andersen at bay to secure his fourth win of the year in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and second at Eagle this year. Steinbach stayed steady in third.
Salzman Scores First Career Sprint Car Triumph
Alex Salzman made the most of a wild RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event to capture his first-ever main event victory. He moved into second early and began reeling in leader Troy Sanford, setting the stage for a dramatic finish. Caution flags and restart cone reshuffles kept the field bunched up, but Salzman took advantage of a late-race run to steal the lead with five to go.
Sanford didn’t give up the fight, taking the spot back briefly, but Salzman countered right away and sealed the deal. Behind them, Adam Gullion made a bold charge through the pack in the closing laps, slipping past both Sanford and Brandon Horton on the final circuit to finish second. Horton held on for third, while Salzman celebrated a long-awaited breakthrough.
Richards Dominates Again in Hobby Stocks
Dillon Richards continued his unmatched roll at Eagle Raceway in the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks. He picked his way forward from the fourth row and took control just shy of the halfway point, flying past Tyler Phelps to grab the lead. Once out front, he was untouchable, building a straightaway advantage in the final laps.
The win marked Richards’ ninth straight at Eagle and 30th overall of the 2025 campaign with 22 coming in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region. He also padded his margin atop the IMCA national standings and remained undefeated at America’s Home Track. Michael Wade finished second after moving around Phelps late, while Phelps settled for third.
Hahn Handles Pressure to Second Straight SportMod Win
Mary Hahn wasn’t giving an inch in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature. She grabbed the early lead and never let go, but it wasn’t without pressure. Adam Vrbka and Jacob Swanson each took turns in second, but it was Cole Wayman who brought the fight to Hahn in the final stretch.
Wayman pulled alongside more than once as the two raced through lapped traffic, but Hahn never wavered. Staying true to the bottom line, she fended off every challenge and crossed the stripe first for her second consecutive win at Eagle. Vrbka came back to edge Swanson for third in a frantic finish behind them.
