Driver and Fan Appreciation Night Set for July 5 at 34 Raceway with Free Admission and Giveaways Galore

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Jun. 18, 2025) — A massive celebration is in store for race fans and teams alike on Saturday, July 5 at 34 Raceway, as Driver and Fan Appreciation Night presented by LaVeine Sanitation features FREE grandstand admission, $14,000 added to the purse, post-race fireworks, and prize giveaways throughout the evening.

Five Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly divisions will be in action, with boosted payouts across the board. Headlining the night are the Sunoco IMCA Late Models, Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, and Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, each racing for $1,500 to win and $150 to start. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts will race for $500 to win and $50 to start.

All drivers will receive one free pit pass and a driver goodie bag. Bonus giveaways—including tools, parts, drive shafts, tires, shock rebuilds, etc.—are available only to pre-registered drivers. There are no entry or registration fees, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged to be eligible for the prize drawings. Weekly 34 Raceway drivers are asked to pre-register as well.

All classes will use draw/redraw format and no track points will be awarded, but IMCA National, Regional, and State points will be on the line. A valid IMCA license is required to compete.

Prize giveaways will take place throughout the program, capped off with a spectacular fireworks display once the final checkered flag falls.

IMCA Modifieds, Stock Cars chase All-Star eligibility Saturday at 34

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 25, 2023) – Saturday’s Memorial Weekend show at 34 Raceway will see two IMCA drivers race their ways to All-Star qualifying eligibility. The May 27 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature pays $1,000 to win, the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature $750 to win at West Burlington. The Modified winner becomes Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational eligible, the Stock Car winner B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational eligible. Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods also race for $750 to win. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts complete the sanctioned portion of the evening’s race program. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:15 p.m. with racing to follow. Pit passes are $30. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free for kids ages 10 and under.

IMCA Stock Cars have two weekend dates at 34 

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (April 13, 2023) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars join both Slocum Memorial programs this weekend at 34 Raceway. Winners of both Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15 features for the Class Too Tough To Tame earn $755 and B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, along with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and Iowa State points.  Pit gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. both days with hot laps at 6 p.m. with racing at 7:15 p.m. More information is available on Facebook.

New promoter finds ‘hidden gem’ in 34 Raceway

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa –Bradley Stevens will be in charge of weekly programs at a track he likens to “a hidden gem.” Stevens has purchased 34 Raceway from Jeff and Amy Laue. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and newly-sanctioned Mach-1 Sport Compacts run Saturday nights at the Southeast Iowa speedplant. The IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season begins April 7 and continues through Sept. 29 at the 3/8-mile dirt oval. “This track ranks right up there with the best tracks in the Midwest.
