MANDAN, N.D. (May 30, 2025) — In the final feature of the evening at Dacotah Speedway, it was not only a race for the win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, but a race against the weather as rain in the distance was starting to settle in. Pole sitter Caden Roberts led early before defending track champion Shawn Strand took the lead on lap two. Strand quickly distanced himself from the field but as the laps wound down, Mark Dahl started to cut into Strand’s lead. By lap 10, Dahl was challenging Strand for the lead. They raced side by side, door to door for several laps.

However, lapped traffic made it an exciting race for the win as the leaders sliced and diced their way around the slower cars. Coming to the white flag, Dahl cleared Strand for the top position. However, as they raced back to the checkered flag, Shawn Strand just narrowly edged Mark Dahl for the win — his first of 2025 in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Points leader Jeremy Keller finished third.

Seidler Strikes for First Stock Car Victory of 2025

In the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature, Casey Binstock and Marlyn Seidler sat on the front row. Coming to the green flag, Seidler grabbed the early lead and quickly pulled away from the field. A mid-race caution erased Seidler’s large lead. On the restart, Scott Gartner and Matt Dosch were all over Seidler’s rear bumper. Gartner slipped by on lap 11, forcing Seidler to find a new racing line. Seidler retook the lead on lap 13 and pulled away once more.

Gartner then fell into the clutches of Dosch and fourth-place Andrew Jochim. When the checkered flag waved, Marlyn Seidler picked up his first victory of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Dosch finished second ahead of points leader Jochim as Gartner slipped to fourth.

IMCA Dakota Classic Tour point funds total $10,000

MANDAN, N.D. – Point funds totaling $10,000 will be paid to IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers in top 10 point standings for the upcoming Corral Sales IMCA Dakota Classic Tour. Courtesy of Hoosier Tire and IMCA, point fund amounts increase from $2,000 to $6,500 for the Modifieds and from $1,000 to $3,500 for the Stock Cars. The Modified champion earns $1,600, with $1,150 for second, $850 for third, $700 for fourth, $550 for fifth, $450 for sixth and $300 for seventh through 10th places. IMCA.TV bonuses paid to Dakota Tour Modified drivers defending home tracks

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (July 7, 2023) – Modified drivers defending their home track(s) earn almost $2,000 in bonuses during the upcoming IMCA.TV Dakota Classic Modified Tour. The top three finishing drivers appearing in local track standings coming into the night at July 8-13 tour events each receive $110 IMCA.TV DCMT Defender Awards. Jochim Wins Thrilling Stock Car Feature to Kick Off Dacotah Speedway Season

(Apr. 25, 2025) — For only the third time in Dacotah Speedway history, the track hosted its season opener in the month of April, kicking off the 2025 campaign with action-packed IMCA racing. Headlining the night was a thrilling Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature, where Andrew Jochim delivered a late-race slide job to claim his first-ever Dacotah Speedway victory and first win of 2025 in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region. Adam Goff and Jeremy Engelhardt led the field to the green flag in the IMCA Stock Car feature. A series of early cautions regrouped the field, allowing Shawn Volk to enter the mix and make it a three-car battle.
