More cold cash on the line for Stock Cars at Feb. 17-18 Abilene IMCA.TV Ice Breaker 

ABILENE, Texas (Feb. 2, 2023) – IMCA Sunoco Stock Car drivers have another 1,000 reasons to get Abilene Speedway’s IMCA.TV Ice Breaker on their early-season race schedule. 

The winner’s share of Friday, Feb. 17 and Saturday, Feb. 18 main events for The Class Too Tough To Tame have been upped by $500, so both events boast $1,500 top checks and make the winning drivers eligible to qualify for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. 

Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds run for $1,200 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility both nights, while features for Smiley’s Racing Products IMCA Southern SportMods pay $1,000 to win and the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts $350 to win. 

Start money is $100 for both Modifieds and Stocks, $75 for SportMods and $35 for Sport Compacts. 

IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, GRT Race Cars South Central and EQ Cylinder Heads Southern Region, Texas State and track points will be awarded for both draw/redraw programs.

The Thursday, Feb. 16 open practice is from 6-9 p.m. Pit passes are $20 that evening and grandstand admission is free. 

Pits open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5:45 p.m. both days with hot laps at 6:30 p.m. and racing to follow. Pit passes are $35 and spectator admission is $12 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-12 and free for ages five and under.
