BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 11, 2022) – The qualifying awards that drivers in six of the divisions competing at the 40th annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s receive might just be displayed in trophy cases and race shops for another 40 years.
Modified, Northern SportMod and STARS Mod Lite main event qualifiers all receive replica door panels while Stock Car, Hobby Stock and Sport Compact qualifiers all receive replica hoods.
Replica door panels measure 10” tall by 23” long while hoods are 16” by 12.”
2022 awards were made specific to each division and display the Super Nationals and IMCA logos along with the word Qualifier.
They’ll be presented to STARS Mod Lite qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday during Prelude qualifying, to Sport Compact drivers during the Tuesday program, and to drivers in the other four divisions as they qualify throughout the week Sept. 5-10 at Boone Speedway.
This is the 11th year Jeff Moore at Moore Design Co. has designed and given qualifier awards.
“Qualifying for the main event at Super Nationals is a career highlight for any driver,” said IMCA President Brett Root. “We’re pleased to be able to present these awards again this year and know that they’ll be displayed with pride for years to come.”
