Convincingly, Carter captures SportMod win at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (June 20) – Jeff Carter was on a tear from the start of Saturday’s opening night Karl Kustoms Northern SportMod feature at Arlington Raceway.

Carter got a great start from the second row and was in the lead by the first turn. Despite numer­ous stoppages, he held onto the top spot throughout to win his first feature of the year. Eric Lar­son tried to catch him but had to contend with the fast-moving Kris Zuhlsdorf and settled for se­cond.

Clint Hatlestad raced to IMCA Modified career win number 99 and Brandon Allen led the distance in the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car feature. 

Brent Uecker was the third and final leader in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car main. Cory Probst led from the fourth lap to the finish of the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock headliner.

Getting the best of a very fast field of Mach-1 Sport Compacts was R.J. Esqueda.

Horejsi Graphics of New Ulm sponsored the best appearing car in each division and winners in­cluded Trent Loverude in the Modifieds, Javen Ostermann in the Sprints, Zach Foesch in the Stocks, Ashelyn Moriarty in the Hobbies, Travis Schurmann in the Northern SportMods and Justin Dose in the Sport Compacts.

Hatlestad, Zevenbergen take top checks, Luinenburg, Porter get big Arlington wins

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Sept. 23) – While Clint Hatlestad and Elijah Zevenbergen took $1,500 victo­ries, Justin Luinenburg and Kyren Porter were history-making winners Saturday at Arlington Raceway. More than 200 cars were in the pits for the season championship night program, held in honor of the late Scotty Schoknecht. Hatlestad topped the IMCA Modified main, earning a spot on the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot, while Zevenbergen was fastest in an IMCA Sunoco Stock Car field pared from 42 entries. Luinenburg earned his career 100th victory in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and Porter became the first driver to win an Arlington Raceway track title in the Mach-1 Sport Compact divi­sion. Curt Lund led the first 11 laps in the Modified main before Hatlestad drove by. Brandon Becken­dorf came from 15th starting to take over second with hard charger Tyler Limoges passing 15 cars on his way to finishing third. Double winner Looft avoids bad luck in Arlington’s turn three 

ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 29, 2023) – The number 3 was unlucky Saturday night at Arlington Raceway as there were three rollovers in turn three that resulted in considerable damage to as many cars. The first was in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock race on the first lap when Travis Manderfield’s drive shaft broke and sent him rolling off the track. He was ok, but out of the race. Then Blake Foesch had the misfortune of rolling after an axle tube broke after leading the first three laps and he, too, was out of the race. When the race got started again, Chad Volk took the lead for two laps but undefeated for the season Cory Probst moved forward each lap from his 10th place start and took over the top spot on the sixth lap. Volk then contended with Jonathan Schroeder for second with Schroeder getting by him. Volk finished third ahead of Jed Trebelhorn. Jason Bolte led the entire Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature. LaTour triumphs at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 28) – Kevin LaTour won his first feature in the B&B Racing Chassis IMCA Stock Car division Saturday at Arlington Raceway, leading from start to finish in the green-to-checkered race. Matt Speckman started 10th and worked his way through the field to challenge LaTour but ended up second ahead of Chad Schroeder, who got by Brent Uecker on the last lap to take third. Brandon Beckendorf bested the MN 93 IMCA Modified field again and Trevor Serbus wheeled his 95.7 IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car around the topside of the track to win another feature. Matt Looft crossed the finish line first in the Unhinged Pizza IMCA Northern SportMod feature while Alex Dostal prevailed in the Coors Light IMCA Sport Compact main. Cory Probst scored another Eckblad Trucking IMCA Hobby Stock victory.
