CRYSTAL, Mich. (May 30, 2024) – Allstar Performance sponsors the Fast Shafts All-Star race and kids get autographs from all their favorite drivers this Saturday at Crystal Motor Speedway. The June 1 Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature pays $1,500 to win, $1,000 for second, a minimum of $175 to finish in the top 10 and $150 for 11th through 20th place. Saturday’s show is draw/redraw. The winner becomes eligible to qualify for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational while the hard charger pockets $200 courtesy of Prime FX and Hilliard Heating and Air Conditioning. Drivers will sign autographs and hand out treats during Kids’ Night in the pits, sponsored by Artesian Well Produce and Spring Water, from 5-6 p.m. Pit passes are $35 and adult spectator admission is $15. Pits open at 2, the grandstand opens at 4 and the big track gets bust starting at 7 p.m.
CRYSTAL, Mich. (April 20) – After picking up a couple IMCA Modified feature wins during his racing vacation to Florida, A.J. Ward returned to a more familiar setting to continue pursuit of a fourth straight Dirt Works Eastern Region title. Ward topped Saturday’s opening night feature at Crystal Motor Speedway ahead of ninth starting Mitchell Hunt and Brenten DeYoung. Matt Szecsodi scored hard charger honors after qualifying out of his “B” feature, starting 18th and ending in sixth.

(Sept. 13, 2025) — Nate Jones of Alma cashed in big Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway, topping the $5,000-to-win Friesen Performance IMCA Modified Great Lakes Nationals. The 40-lap feature was Jones’ fourth victory of 2025 in the DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Eastern Region and his third of the season at Crystal. Aaron Raby paced the opening circuit before a caution slowed the action. On the restart, Jones worked the bottom groove to perfection, taking command and building a massive lead as he reached lapped traffic by lap 15. The advantage disappeared on a lap-29 yellow, but Jones was flawless when the race went back to green, then rebuilt his lead after another slowdown on lap 31. Veteran Jerry Hunt, the 2002 Crystal Lions Club Series champion, powered into second during that stretch, while defending race winner and Merritt Speedway champion Austin Harnick charged into third in the T.J.
