Park Jefferson checkers fly for Boulware

JEFFERSON, S.D. (May 13) – Park Jefferson Speedway hosted the Road to the Iron Cup for the Schaeffer Oil IMCA Northern SportMods on Saturday and Todd Boulware cruised to the checkered flags from his third place starting spot.

After some challenging opening weeks, Boulware re-asserted himself as the man to beat when the money is on the line. Jeff Brunssen charged from the eighth place starting spot to run second and Karl Brewer was third.

In the SignMasters IMCA Modifieds, Thor Anderson took advantage of his pole start to take the checkered flag. Utilizing a unique line through turns three and four, Anderson held off Bob Moore and Ricky Stephan to take his first-ever checkered flag at Park Jefferson.

A different week but the same winner graced Park Jefferson’s J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Car victory lane as it was again Elijah Zevenbergen taking the top spot, this time from 12th starting.

A bounty has been put on Zevenbergen by the track management of an additional $100 if someone can unseat the driver who is perfect this year. Should Zevenbergen win, he will receive an additional $50 for his efforts.

Dustin Gulbrandson and Craig Clift ran 1-2 in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks and the Fox 620 Sport Compact division saw a new man in victory lane as Jake Newsom wheeled his no. 423 to victory over teammate Tyler Thompson.
