Afco awards for IMCA Hobby Stocks are new for 2015

BOONVILLE, Ind. – Afco contingency awards are new this season for a sixth IMCA division.

Top three eligible drivers in both Northern and Southern regions for IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks receive each product certificates valued at $125, $75 and $50, respectively.

“Drivers in all divisions are having tremendous success with Afco shocks and springs and we want to make sure we target them with value-based incentives that recognizes that success,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “We’ve been able to do that for 22 years working alongside Afco and we plan on the continuance of that common goal.”

The Boonville, Ind., manufacturer has also renewed awards for IMCA Xtreme Motor Sports Modifieds, IMCA Late Models, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center Southern SportMods.

Top three eligible drivers in each of the five Modified regions earn product certificates worth $250, $150 and $50, respectively, while the top three in both Stock Car regions receive $200, $100 and $50 certificates.

Afco certificates worth $125, $75 and $50 go to top three drivers based on national point standings for the Northern SportMods and Southern SportMods.

Drivers in those five divisions must compete with Afco-manufactured shocks and springs, display two Afco decals on their race car and return a completed sign-up sheet to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1 to be eligible.

The national Late Model rookie of the year and fourth, sixth and 11th place finishers in national Late Model point standings earn $100 product certificates.
