Design 500 renews Lady Eagle awards, Deery Series and Modified specials prizes

TUKWILA, Wash. – Design 500’s 16th season as a partner with IMCA also marks the eighth year for the Tukwila, Wash., driver suit and apparel manufacturer’s popular Lady Eagle award.

Female drivers in all sanctioned divisions are automatically in the running. The top finisher in combined point standings earns a complete set of custom No Fly Zone Pro-Tek CarbonX underwear, which includes a long-sleeved mock turtleneck, long pants, headsock and socks.

The runner-up receives a No Fly Zone Pro-Tek CarbonX tank and shorts while the third place driver earns a $100 product certificate and CarbonX socks.

IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock driver Tiffany Bittner from Norfolk, Neb., is the three-time and defending Lady Eagle champion.

“Tiffany has dominated our Lady Eagle competition over the past few seasons but we have so many great female competitors this is always a hotly contested race,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “April Phillips is continuing an outstanding start to the 2014 season and we’ll see if she or someone else will be crowned our newest Lady Eagle Champion.”

Design 500 also awards gift certificates at each event in the Deery Brothers Summer Series and at 30 special events for IMCA Modifieds $150 gift certificates.

Third place finishers in each IMCA Late Model tour feature get $150, with $100 for fourth and $50 for fifth.

Product certificates in the same increments go to third, fourth and fifth place drivers at designated special for the Modifieds.
