(2022) – Modified drivers in IMCA’s Eastern Region enjoy a milestone 10th consecutive season of title sponsorship support from Dirt Works Race Cars in 2022.

The Oronogo, Mo., chassis builder is owned by long-time IMCA Modified driver Jerry Hoffman and will again furnish a portion of the $6,000 point fund paid to top 10 drivers in standings for the region encompassing tracks in Florida, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York.

The regional champion earns $2,500. The runner-up gets $1,250, with $625 for third, $325 for fourth, $300 for fifth and $200 for sixth through 10th places. Drivers are required to display two Dirt Works Race Cars logos on their race cars to be eligible for point fund shares.

“I like IMCA – the most economical way to race a Modified is IMCA and I wish more tracks recognized that fact,” said Hoffman, also owner of Dirt Works’ sister company Hoffman Race Cars and owner of Springfield Raceway, where sanctioned Modifieds headline Saturday night race programs. “IMCA has been around for a long time and they’re an organization it’s good to be part of and what they’re working to accomplish.”

Points earned in the NY-Penn Modified Series also figure toward regional standings.

Dirt Works has built championship-winning Modifieds since the earliest days of the division and was originally an IMCA regional title sponsor in 1996.

More information about Dirt Works or Hoffman chassis is available by calling 417 673-7426, at www.dirtworksracecars.com and on Facebook.

“We’ve been privileged to be associated with Jerry and Dirt Works Race Cars in their role as title sponsor for the region for a decade now,” stated IMCA Marketing Integration and Sponsorship Director Carson Becker-Gramm. “The ultimate beneficiaries of that association have been our member drivers and we look forward to even bigger and better racing opportunities for them in 2023.”

Already on the schedule for next season are four dates in the inaugural Clash on the Coast, with Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds running for $1,000 to win at Feb. 27 and 28 shows at Northwest Florida Speedway and March 3 and 4 at Southern Raceway.
