(July 26, 2025) — The Dove Creek-based Spangler family stole the spotlight Saturday night at Cortez Fairgrounds Speedway, sweeping the podium in the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod division with an unforgettable 1-2-3 finish. Aaron Spangler was the class of the field, charging from the seventh starting position and methodically working his way to the front. Once there, he never looked back, holding off his younger family members with veteran savvy. (Jun. 7, 2025) — In what was arguably the race of the night at Cortez Fairgrounds Speedway on Saturday, Kyler Duggins of Farmington, New Mexico, stormed through the 20-car Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock field from the eighth starting position to claim his first win of the season in the B&B Racing Chassis Southern Region. Arizona’s Nathan Deragon and Colorado’s Hunter Ferrell rounded out the podium after a competitive and clean feature that kept fans on their feet. Whitman Prevails in Outagamie Speedway Modified Feature

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (Aug. 15, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified finale at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Kevin Feck grabbing the top spot at the drop of the green. Marcus Yarie wasted no time sliding into the runner-up spot and pressured Feck until making the pass on lap three. While that battle raged, Jayden Schmidt quietly worked the No. 24 into third, but Konnor Wilinski had other ideas and slipped by both Schmidt and Feck for second just before the halfway caution. Mechanical issues sidelined Feck under yellow, erasing a strong run. Wilinski used the restart to lead lap 11, but Yarie countered the very next trip around. That duo swapped the lead like kids trading baseball cards until point leader Johnny “The Hitman” Whitman joined the party in third. Two big nights of racing will showcase some of the region’s best, with large payouts on the line and music after the races both nights. Katelynn Robertson: Krazy Kate’s Road to Super Nationals

By Ben Deatherage RENO, Nev. (Aug. 15, 2025) — One year ago, Katelynn Robertson stood in the grandstands at Boone Speedway, taking in her first IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. She wasn’t there to race — she was a wide-eyed spectator. “My jaw dropped as soon as I walked through the gates while racing was going on,” she remembered. “I was amazed by how great it is and how big it is. It’s definitely one of the coolest things I’ve been to.” This September, Robertson returns to Boone not to watch, but to compete. Robertson, who pilots the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified no. 7, currently leads the California State points standings.
