Wednesday open house planned at BHE

AMES, Iowa (Aug. 30, 2024) – Bob Harris Enterprises hosts an open house Wednesday, Sept. 4 from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 2316 230th Street Suite 202 in Ames. Egg baked casserole, ham and cheese, cinnamon rolls and pastries will be served for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s mid-week brunch. Both a 2025 GRT by BHE Modified and 2025 B & B by BHE Stock Car will be on display. Tours will be given of the shop and vendors on hand will have numerous giveaways.

Harris Auto Racing hosts Wednesday open house

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 30, 2024) – New cars will be on display and barbeque pork along with the sides will be on the menu for the Wednesday, Sept. 4 open house at Harris Auto Racing in Boone. Hours are 10 a.m.-1 p.m., convenient for all IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s race teams and anyone interested in a short tour or speaking with any of the staff about Harris rides. They’ll have plenty about the Harris Modified and Northern SportMod and Terminator Stock Car and Hobby Stock to discuss, with the 40th business anniversary for Harris Auto Racing coming up in 2025.

2024 Prelude to the Super Nationals

Cornhole champions crowned at sixth annual Scorezit tournament

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 29, 2024) – It will be a keen eye, just the right touch and maybe a bit of luck that determines the first champions crowned at the 42nd annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Scorezit, a division of Wehrs Machine and Racing Products, returns as title sponsor of the sixth annual Super Nationals cornhole tournament, slated Sunday, Sept. 1 at the NAPA Fan Zone on the grandstand side of Boone Speedway. Entry fee is $40 with a 100 percent payback to the top six teams in the double elimination tournament. Payouts are based on a 60-team field with the championship pair earning $972 plus a Scorezit scorekeeper courtesy of Scorezit, with $712 for second, $486 for third, $256 for fourth, $78 for fifth and $52 for sixth. Teams should begin checking in by 9:30 a.m. that day, with the first bags tossed competitively at approximately 10 a.m. Registration can be done under the Scoreholio App. The tournament is named Boone Iowa IMCA Super Nationals BYOP Cornhole Tourney.

Hamilton looks forward to victory lane interviews at Super Nationals

LINDSAY, Okla. (Aug. 29, 2024) – Tim Hamilton enjoyed his interview with Wade Aunger at his first IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. He’s hoping to have more to talk with Wade about at his second. IMCA Super Nationals entries top 1,000 for third straight year

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 28, 2024) – Early entries for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s have raced past the 1,000 mark for a third consecutive year. Late Model driver Sean Johnson of Independence, the Super Nationals Stock Car champion in 2011, became the 1,000th driver to pre-register for the Sept. 2-7 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway on Wednesday morning. The Stock Cars (275), STARS Mod Lites (77) and Late Models (24) have all topped individual division records. Entries for the are now in hand from 29 states, two Canadian provinces and Australia. IMCA Modifieds, Late Models chase $1,000 checks Saturday at 34

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Aug. 28, 2024) – Drivers winning Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature won’t be the only happy ones on Roberts Tire Center Night at 34 Raceway. Both those Saturday, Aug. 31 features pay $1,000 to win with the Modified winner also becoming eligible to qualify for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. All drivers purchasing pit passes between 4 and 5 p.m. on race day get the Happy Hour rate, the first pit pass at regular rate and the second for half off. The draw ends at 6 p.m. with the drivers’ meeting at 6:15 p.m. and hot laps to follow. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and Iowa State points will be awarded. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free for kids ages 10 and under.

They’ll be smokin’ hot at the IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals

KENNEDALE, Texas (Aug. 28, 2024) – Call the fire department right now, James Lopez knows he’s going to have a barnburner on his hands. More than 60 drivers are already pre-registered for the third annual IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals powered by Smiley’s Racing Products, coming up Sept. 5-7 at Lopez’ Kennedale Speedway Park. Each and every one of those drivers comes to town aiming to take the $5,000 top check in the Saturday main event. “We’ve already got a packed field entered.
