Another rookie finds NY-Penn IMCA Modified success at Woodhull

WOODHULL, N.Y. (Sept. 28, 2024) – Dalton Maynard sold out his crate sportsman equipment and joined the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified ranks for the 2024 Close Racing Supply NY-Penn Series presented by Insinger Performance season. The New Albany, Pa., pilot struggled a bit with the change, with good runs through the season but inconsistent results, as he learned the changes needed in set up and driving style. The S&S Custom Auto Body team showed up at Woodhull Raceway determined to pull out a solidresult in the MJH Oilfield-sponsored season finale and instead of a period, Maynard’s story ended with an exclamation point. Six IMCA divisions in action at Beatrice Octoberfest

BEATRICE, Neb. (Oct. 7, 2024) – Six IMCA divisions are in action both nights of Beatrice Speedway’s season-ending Octoberfest special Oct. 11 and 12. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $1,000 to win on Friday and $2,000 to win on Saturday. A minimum of $200 will be paid to start and winners of both features become Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible. Both IMCA Sunoco Stock Car features pay $750 to win with those drivers earning B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility. Pearce, Ryan, Robles win at Antioch’s JD Willis Salute

By Candice Martin ANTIOCH, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2024) – Andrew Pearce won the 25-lap Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature Friday at Antioch Speedway’s second annual JD Willis Salute. This was the opening night at the Bill Bowers Memorial Weekend, and the win for Pearce paid $750. Cody Burke led the opening lap before Pearce went by. Troy Foulger settled into third on the second lap. Foulger was challenging Burke for second before making an inside pass on lap 11. Jonathan Hagio brought out the only yellow flag on lap 13. As Pearce led the restart lap, Foulger tried a slide move through turns three and four, only to drift high and get passed by Kellen Chadwick. Foulger had problems and headed for the infield on lap 16, handing third to Bobby Hogge IV. HAYS, Kan. (Oct. 5, 2024) – Clay Money put the demons of 2024 behind him Saturday night at Hays. After going winless in 14 sanctioned starts during the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing point season, Money motored to a career-best $5,000 payday in topping the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified main event at RPM Speedway’s Fall Nationals. Taking the lead shortly after a restart in the early stages, the Salem standout led the field in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod feature. The race kicked off with Jacob Shandy taking the lead on the first lap. However, Nate Turnidge was not far behind, keeping Shandy within his sights. With an impressive move outside of Shandy in turn two, Turnidge seized the top spot on the next lap. Before Turnidge could build a significant lead, the race’s first stoppage occurred on lap five. Bowers Memorial this weekend at Antioch Speedway

This Friday and Saturday, the track will host the fifth annual Bill Bowers Memorial, featuring Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Friesen Performance INCA Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. The increased purse money for the Modifieds finds the drivers racing for $750 to win on Friday with a minimum of $100 to take the green. On Saturday night, the winner will receive $1,500 and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility, second $700, third $600 and its $150 just to take the green. Mohave Valley checkers fly for Pike
