ALBION, Neb. (Jul. 13, 2025) – Chandler, Arizona transplant Ricky Thornton Jr. stormed to a thrilling last-lap victory during the 5th annual Tanner Pelster Memorial at Boone County Raceway, scoring his first Sunoco IMCA Stock Car win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and becoming the fifth different winner of the prestigious $10,111-to-win event. The 30-lap main event saw Minnesota’s Jim Horejsi and Iowa racer Maguire De Jong duel for the top spot at the start, with De Jong securing the early advantage. A caution on lap two bunched up the field, but De Jong took off again on the restart while Kyle Vanover and Horejsi scrapped for second, allowing De Jong to check out with a big lead. Bosma Blazes to Victory at Jackson Motorplex

(Jul. 11, 2025) – The 20-lap RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car main event at Jackson Motorplex was a thriller with Brandon Bosma holding off 15th-starting Dominic White in a dramatic finish. Sam Henderson rocketed to the early lead, but quickly slowed in turn two on lap three. Second-running Lee Goos Jr. had nowhere to go and collided with Henderson for the lone caution of the race. Bosma was strong throughout the remainder of the event, but White made big moves before nearly stealing a win in the waning laps. White narrowly edged in front of Bosma in turn two on lap 19, but Bosma’s momentum running the top groove regained him the lead down the backstretch. He dove to the bottom lane entering turn three to protect the lead for the final lap and a half. Hunter Hanson hustled from 10th to third place.

Mike Mullen Has $10,000 Night with Brian ‘Crutch’ Crutchley Memorial Mod Lite Win

(Jul. 11, 2025) — Mike Mullen scored the biggest victory of his career in Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite competition Friday night at Brewerton Speedway, claiming $2,150 in purse and awards—and an additional $8,000 in the Motor Raffle—at the inaugural Brian “Crutch” Crutchley Memorial. Zach Sobotka and Mullen brought the 24-car field to green for the 33-lap main event, with Sobotka jumping to the early lead. Gallaher Pounces for Second Ocean Speedway Win of 2025

(Jul. 11, 2025) — In the Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods feature at Ocean Speedway, Yreka’s Bo Crebs blasted into the lead at the drop of the green flag and held the field at bay while drivers jostled for position behind him. San Jose’s Rob Gallaher methodically picked his way forward and moved into second by lap four. The complexion of the contest shifted on lap 12 when Crebs slowed to a stop with mechanical issues, handing the lead to Gallaher. From there, the San Jose driver paced the field the rest of the way to record his second Northern SportMod win of the season—both at Ocean Speedway. Braaksma Repeats as Dakota Classic Modified Tour Champion; Munoz Breaks Through in Stock Cars

By Ben Deatherage VINTON, Iowa (July 11, 2025) — The 2025 Wolla Trucking Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric wrapped up with 82 Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds competing across six nights of thrilling action. In the end, Ethan Braaksma of Newton, Iowa rose to the top once again, securing his second consecutive tour title. Driving the Danny Meier and Trent Guest-owned no. 111, Braaksma built a consistent and commanding week: runner-up at Jamestown, third in Estevan, back-to-back wins at Williston and Dickinson, and a seventh-place finish at Mandan despite a blown engine in the finale. His ability to finish strong each night proved pivotal in defending his crown. California’s Cody Laney was a hard-charging runner-up in the standings. (Jul. 10, 2025) — Two-time Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s champion Kyle Strickler of Mooresville, North Carolina, scored a dramatic win in the final Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature of the 2025 Wolla Trucking Dakota Classic Modified Tour powered by Industrial Electric.
