IMCA Super Nationals entries top 1,000 for third straight year

BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 28, 2024) – Early entries for the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s have raced past the 1,000 mark for a third consecutive year. Late Model driver Sean Johnson of Independence, the Super Nationals Stock Car champion in 2011, became the 1,000th driver to pre-register for the Sept. 2-7 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway on Wednesday morning. The Stock Cars (275), STARS Mod Lites (77) and Late Models (24) have all topped individual division records. Entries for the are now in hand from 29 states, two Canadian provinces and Australia. IMCA Modifieds, Late Models chase $1,000 checks Saturday at 34

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (Aug. 28, 2024) – Drivers winning Friesen Performance IMCA Modified and IMCA Sunoco Late Model feature won’t be the only happy ones on Roberts Tire Center Night at 34 Raceway. Both those Saturday, Aug. 31 features pay $1,000 to win with the Modified winner also becoming eligible to qualify for the upcoming Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. All drivers purchasing pit passes between 4 and 5 p.m. on race day get the Happy Hour rate, the first pit pass at regular rate and the second for half off. The draw ends at 6 p.m. with the drivers’ meeting at 6:15 p.m. and hot laps to follow. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and Iowa State points will be awarded. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free for kids ages 10 and under.

They’ll be smokin’ hot at the IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals

KENNEDALE, Texas (Aug. 28, 2024) – Call the fire department right now, James Lopez knows he’s going to have a barnburner on his hands. More than 60 drivers are already pre-registered for the third annual IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals powered by Smiley’s Racing Products, coming up Sept. 5-7 at Lopez’ Kennedale Speedway Park. Each and every one of those drivers comes to town aiming to take the $5,000 top check in the Saturday main event. “We’ve already got a packed field entered. MONROETON, Pa. (Aug. 27, 2024) – There’s a $1,000 check waiting in victory lane, following the Friday night installment of the Close Racing Supply NY-Penn IMCA Modified Series presented by Insinger Performance at The Hill Speedway. The Aug. 30 Wolfpack 25 presented by Wolf’s Truck and Auto and Nimble Hill Media Solutions is a Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying event and pays the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds a minimum of $100 to start. In addition to the money and the prestige, IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, DeVilbiss Racing Chassis Eastern Region, state, series and track points are at stake. Entry fee is $20 and pit passes are $40. Spectator admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students and free for kids ages 10 and under with a paid adult. Scholpp brothers visit Estevan victory lane on championship night

(Aug. 23, 2024) – Kyle Scholpp had the entire crowd at Estevan Motor Speedway on its feet when the checkered flag waved to bring the IMCA Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event to a close. The Lampman driver, who started on the inside pole, held on by a margin to win his third victory of the season at his home track on championship night. Austin Daae led at the line on the first lap after a spirited battle with Scholpp. Still, Scholpp countered with a terrific run on the backstretch to obtain the lead on the second corner. Gabe Deschamp would scoot past Daae for second on lap seven. Daae tried to stay on the podium as his hands were full with Chase Davidson chasing for third. Murty doubles up at Boone, Lathrop takes First Timer win

By Joyce Eisele BOONE, Iowa (Aug. 24, 2024) – Boone Speedway saw its annual Watermelon Classic, P1P Challenge, and First Time Winner Night on Saturday at the track. Dallon Murty doubled up by winning the Watermelon Classic and the P1P features in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Cody Gustoff won his first IMCA Sunoco Stock feature and it was Cam Reimers taking the honors in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. Mike Smith went back to victory lane for winning another IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stock feature and it was Josh May leading flag to flag in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lite main event. Extra laps were added to the feature events, extra money was on the line, and of course the drivers were awarded the sought after watermelon! The P1 Promotions Challenge for the Modifieds ran first after they had earlier qualified through timing. Only the top 12 fastest were locked in for the main event. Saturday wins are first of season for three at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 24, 2024) – A fast track provided great racing action Saturday night at Arlington Raceway. There were three different leaders in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Shaun Bruns led the first 13 laps with Josh Larsen on his tail. Bruns and Tim Pessek then dueled multiple laps with Bruns falling back, Pessek taking over the lead and Dave Moriarty moving up a couple spots to challenge. A yellow flag came out for a spinning car on the 17th lap. On the restart, Moriarty took the lead and remained in front to win his first feature of the year. Pessek took second but was docked two spots in post-race tech. That gave second place to Matt Looft and third to Dan Eckblad. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts saw a new car in victory lane with Zach Vande Kieft having a solid lead over Justin Dose in his drive to the checkers. Alan Lahr held on for third place. Stock Cars race for Super Nationals glory, Midstate Machine-built engine

BOONE Iowa (Aug. 27, 2024) – A record number of Stock Car drivers will compete at Boone Speedway in the first week of September, with their mutual ultimate goal being an IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s champion. Boone Bound from Down Under

HEALESVILLE, Australia – Like hundreds of other drivers, David Donegan will be traveling to Boone Speedway to make memories at the Sept. 2-7 IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. He’ll be the only driver, however, traveling more than 9,000 miles to do it. Donegan and wife Renee make the long trip from Healesville, about 40 miles north of Melbourne in extreme southeast Australia, to Boone, where America’s Racin’ Vacation will be the biggest stop during a six-week dirt track trek in the United States.
