Super Nationals Weekend set Sept. 7-9 for Smiley’s Racing Products Southern SportMods

KENNEDALE, Texas (June 21, 2023) – IMCA Southern SportMod drivers will have a super weekend all their own Sept. 7-9. Kennedale Speedway Park hosts the second annual IMCA Southern SportMod Super Nationals powered by Smiley’s Racing Products, culminating with a $5,000 to win, minimum $500 to start main event Saturday night. Twenty-four or 25 drivers will start the 30-lap main event grind. Purse for the main event is more than $20,000 with another $4,000-plus paid to drivers in the accompanying All-Star race. Lemmens leaves Shawano with big money

(June 17, 2023) – Luke Lemmens ran the top side to perfection in the late going, earning the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win and $4,000 at Shawano Speedway’s Racing For a Reason. The 12th annual special benefits the battle against childhood cancer and a season-high 130 entries, 33 of them Stock Cars, checked in at the legendary half mile. Chucky Forstner and Lemmens led the field to the green and early on it was Lemmens running the high side and Forstner down low, racing side-by-side with Tyler Wilson following closely behind. The two drivers on the move were Trent Nolan, who started seventh, and Travis VanStraten, who started 11th. By lap five, both had worked their way into the top five. Anderson streaks, repeats at IMCA Landus SportMod Nationals

BRITT, Iowa (June 12, 2023) – So much for the slow start to his season. Logan Anderson led 29 of 30 laps in repeating as winner of the Landus IMCA Northern SportMod Nationals at Hancock County Speedway, outrunning Matthew Looft and Colby Fett and earning $2,500 for his Monday night efforts. The Eddyville hot shoe is now 2-for-2 in his Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMod career outings at Britt. Shute, Olson take Topless wins at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (June 2, 2023) – It was the Dirty 30 Topless Two-Fer presented by Capital Sign Company at the Marshalltown Speedway Friday night so Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Northern SportMods shed their tops for a night of racing topless. The Modified winner was Todd Shute while Kyle Olson went to victory lane in the SportMods.  The IMCA Modifieds presented by Tire Demon by Love Tap ran a 30 lapper. Johnathon Logue started on the pole and jumped to the immediate lead, as Joel Rust who had started on the outside front row, tucked in to run second. Keller takes care of IMCA Modified business at Dacotah’s Iron Man

MANDAN, N.D. (June 3, 2023) – Jeremy Keller followed his game plan to the letter Saturday night at Dacotah Speedway. As a result, the two-time race runner-up became the first-time winner of Mandan’s 100-lap Iron Man main event for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. “It was a long race but it went by fast. It was a big night for us, that’s for sure,” Keller said following the career-best $5,000 checkers. “We were determined. We tested stuff this spring to see how we could be most competitive at the end. Larson races to ‘pretty cool’ 100th IMCA Stock Car win

READING, Minn. (May 27, 2023) – The perfect night and the perfect track provided the perfect setting for Jeffrey Larson’s 100th IMCA Sunoco Stock Car win. Whole Hog Hat Trick for Dallon Murty

By Josh Reynolds STUART, Iowa (May 29, 2023) –The finale of the third annual Whole Hog 50 sponsored by VanEaton Pork ran Monday at Karl Chevrolet of Stuart International Speedway. Winners for the night were Kolby Sabin, Dallon Murty, Calvin Dhondt and Mitchell Morris. Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts kicked off the features and it was Anthony Clark leading through lap five. Sabin found a quicker line to take over the next time around and he cruised to the win. Clark finished second with Elijah Hoyt third, Terry Bickford fourth and Zander Steiner fifth. Oliver races into IMCA Stock Car 100 win club

WEST BURLINGTON, Iowa (May 26, 2023) – John Oliver Jr. listened to the list of names of drivers in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car 100 career win fraternity and was impressed. And honored, to become the 30th member of that exclusive club. “That’s a pretty good group. Ward sweeps IMCA Modified anniversary weekend at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (May 29, 2023) – Tim Ward had a great Sunday. His Monday was even better. After scoring a convincing victory in the Prelude to the 44th Anniversary Race for IMCA Modifieds Sunday night, the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver made a repeat visit to victory lane and earned a $4,400 payday winning Monday’s anniversary special at Benton County Speedway. From an outside front row start, Ward traded the top spot with polesitter Jake McBirnie throughout the early stages of the Beaty Excavating 44-lapper. Once settled into the lead, Ward ran the top side and built a two second advantage over McBirnie and Dakota Sproul. Ward maintained his lead until he drifted off the top of turn two just past the midway point. While his margin out front was gone, he returned to the speedway in time to stay within striking distance of McBirnie.
