IMCA Modifieds return to Wisconsin’s Angell Park Speedway this Sunday

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (Aug. 6, 2024) – Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds return to Angell Park Speedway this Sunday, for a $1,000 to win feature during the annual King of the Park special. Winner of the Aug. 11 main event becomes eligible to qualify for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational. The feature pays a minimum of $125 to start with IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and Wisconsin State points to be awarded. Twenty-one Modifieds representing three states competed during their first-ever visit to the 1/3-mile Wisconsin speed factory, located just five minutes northeast of Madison, last summer. ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 2, 2024) – The winner of Arlington Raceway’s Aug. 7 Sibley County Fair Stock Car Shootout will go home with bragging rights, $5,000 and a guaranteed starting spot in the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational. Postponed from July 31 due to inclement weather, the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car special pays lap money as well, with random draws of $125-$500 courtesy of Justice Brothers, Evers Enterprises, B & B Racing Chassis, Arlington NAPA/Sunoco Fuel, Ken’s Repair & Towing, Dakota Robinson Trucking and QRS. Monte Lundy Memorial for IMCA Modifieds is Aug. 18 at Nodak

MINOT, N.D. (July 31, 2024) – Nodak Speedway remembers one of its own on Sunday, Aug. 18, hosting the inaugural Monte Lundy Memorial. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $3,014 to win and Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligibility that evening. IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing National, Razor Chassis North Central Region and North Dakota State points will be awarded. There is no entry fee. Pit gates will open early for parking, the pit window opens at 3 p.m. and the drivers’ meeting is at 5 p.m. The grandstand opens at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Driver of the number 14 IMCA Modified, Lundy was rookie of the year at Nodak in 1993 and the first-ever track champion in that division at Estevan Motor Speedway, in 2000. He finished fifth in the main event at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s the same year. Lundy passed away last Aug. 19 at the age of 53 after battling Huntington’s Disease.

SPENCER, Iowa (July 29, 2024) – Night two of IMCA Speedweek takes five IMCA divisions to Spencer next Wednesday for the Clay County Clash. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds race for $2,500 to win their Aug. 7 main event at Clay County Fair Speedway. That feature is a qualifier for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational and is complemented by a $750 to win, B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier for the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. BRITT, Iowa (July 29, 2024) – Two thousand dollars, $50 and $5,000 will add up to $12,050 for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified driver who can win both nights of Hancock County Speedway’s Night of 1,000 Stars. The Friday, Aug. 9 qualifying feature will pay $2,000 to win while Saturday’s main event pays $5,000 to win. The driver who can win both, plus their $50 to win heat race on Friday, earns a $5,000 bonus, making for that $12,050 total.
