Trenchard Scores First Win of 2025 in Douglas County Modified Main

By Ben Deatherage ROSEBURG, Ore. (July 25, 2025) — Nick Trenchard turned in a dominating performance to capture his first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win of the season at Douglas County Dirtrack — and he did it in classic fashion. The Klamath Falls veteran drove the Biehn Racing no. 54N to the checkered flag and earned his first win of 2025 in the Shaw Race Cars Western Region. In the 25-lap main event, Bennett Bray paced the field on the opening lap until a caution for debris slowed the field. That allowed Trenchard, who started third, to seize the opportunity. On the restart, he threw a big slider into the first set of turns and took control on lap two. Trenchard quickly checked out and was well ahead of the field when a stoppage on lap 16 slowed the action — the only other interruption of the race. But he was flawless on the restart and drove away to seal the victory. Multi-time IMCA Wild West Speedweek champion Jesse Williamson rallied from ninth to finish [Read More]

Roedl Outguns “The Hitman” for First Win of 2025

By Joe Orsini SEYMOUR, Wis. (July 25, 2025) — The Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature at Outagamie Speedway kicked off with Dan Roedl grabbing the lead at the drop of the green. Roedl opened up a lead on the field and looked set to grab an easy checkered flag, but “The Hitman” Johnny Whitman had something else in mind. Whitman, the current point leader and defending division champ, started his march to the front by sliding inside Jayden Schmidt on lap seven to move up to fourth. A lap later, Whitman picked off Tanner Janke for third. By lap 11, Whitman snuck past Konnor Wilinski to take second. Meanwhile, Roedl was still setting the pace up front and held a lead of over two seconds when Whitman moved into the runner-up spot. That advantage shrunk to just two car lengths at the checkers, but it was enough for Roedl to earn his first victory of the season in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Whitman added to his points lead with a second-place finish, and Wilinski [Read More]

Jeremy Frenier: From Pit Steward’s Son to Century Club Racer

By Ben Deatherage FORT MORGAN, Colo. (July 23, 2025) — There was no better place for Jeremy Frenier to notch the most meaningful victory of his career than I-76 Speedway — the very track where his racing journey first began. On July 5, under a sky lit by Fourth of July fireworks and surrounded by friends and family, Frenier collected his 100th Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win. The victory made him the 66th driver to join the division’s prestigious Century Club. “Getting it done at Fort Morgan was perfect,” said Frenier. “We had a lot of family and friends at the track. With it being the Fourth of July weekend, there were fireworks already planned — so to have that happening while celebrating my 100th win made it extra special.” The feature was a draw-redraw format. Frenier pulled the fourth starting spot and didn’t waste time making it count. “I had the lead by lap two and led the rest of the way,” he said. “The track caught some rain earlier and it was sticky [Read More]

Cory Dumpert: Nebraska Champion Reaches 100th IMCA Late Model Victory

By Ben Deatherage NEWMAN GROVE, Neb. (July 24, 2025) — The names are few, the path grueling, the odds relentless. But Cory Dumpert, the quiet powerhouse from Nebraska, has etched his name alongside the elite in the Sunoco IMCA Late Model Century Club, becoming just the ninth driver to reach the 100-win mark in the division. It happened June 28 at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, where he’s won the last three track championships, and the celebration was equal parts joy and relief. “I was really starting to think that the 100th one was going to be harder to win than the first,” Dumpert admitted. “Nothing seemed to go right and everyone kept bringing it up. It was getting to be a lot of pressure.” But pressure has a way of forging steel, and Dumpert, a six-time and reigning IMCA national champion, showed the grit that defines his career. Starting 10th on a racy, moisture-laden surface, the three-time defending Off Road track champion made his charge — bold, aggressive, and hell-bent. Cory Dumpert celebrates atop his [Read More]

By Chad Meyer BRITT, Iowa (July 22, 2025) — The Hancock County Fair’s Black Dirt Nationals continues to be good to Ethan Braaksma. Capitalizing on favorable heat race and main event draws, Braaksma held off Jeremy Mills to score his second straight Black Dirt Nationals IMCA Modified victory at Britt. Chaz Baca Jr. came from seventh to round out the podium. The win marked Braaksma’s 10th overall win of the season, with nine of them in the Razor Chassis North Central Region. Shryock Grabs Fourth Straight Britt Stock Car Win In just its third night of competition, Kelly Shryock’s brand-new Skyrocket chassis found the front in the Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature. Snellenberger Nabs No. 234 at Eagle River

By Joe Verdegan  EAGLE RIVER, Wis. (July 22, 2025) — Pulaski’s “Hot Rod” Snellenberger bumped his career Sunoco IMCA stock car feature win total to 234 by picking up that division’s feature win at Eagle River Speedway Tuesday. Wisconsin’s winningest driver in the division started sixth on the grid in the 20 lap contest. Initially, it appeared that front row starter Jonathan Miller had the feature win in the bag. The Eagle River driver sprinted into the lead at the drop of the green of the race. Miller wasted little time building up a decent cushion between himself and the rest of the field. Snellenberger caught up with Miller after six laps and pressured Miller for several circuits before flying past Miller on the high side on lap 12. It was his sixth triumph in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region with five coming at Eagle River. Snellenberger kept all challengers at bay and cruised to victory in the caution free event. Miller hung on to claim second place money. Last week’s feature winner Ryan Glembin [Read More]
