Speedway Motors gift cards go to 59 IMCA rookie winners

VINTON, Iowa (June 27, 2024) – Another 59 IMCA rookie drivers have raced to career-first feature wins this season, earning a $50 gift card from Speedway Motors for taking those checkers. All nine divisions sanctioned by IMCA were represented by the latest group of rookie winners, at 39 different tracks in 21 states. Modified rookies winning first features were Jacob Davison at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway on May 4, Jace Whitt at Park Jefferson Speedway on May 9, Terry Kiedrowski at Wilmot Raceway on May 11, Rod Lorenz at Big Sky Speedway on May 18, John Neal Reid at Abilene Speedway on May 25, James Bundy at Skagit Speedway on June 1, Skyler Woods at Beaver Dam Raceway on June 18, Tyler Browne at Petaluma Speedway on June 15 and Carson Reinig at Shelby County Speedway on June 22. Leibhart, Kirchoff, Olmstead, Pfeifer, Frenier cash in at Colby

(June 21, 2024) – Mother Nature threw a bunch of wind at Thomas County Speedway on a Friday night that saw a couple close finishes, some dominant runs and a driver breaking through for a big win. Visiting victory lane were Brock Leibhart in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts, Morgan Olmstead in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks, Ryan Kirchoff in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, Kyle Pfeifer in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars and Jeremy Frenier in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds. Leibhart grabbed the lead early in the 4-cylinder feature, holding on to the point despite getting a little too high on lap five and losing some momentum. Racing resumes this Sunday at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 25, 2024) – After a week off for the Benton County Fair, the IMCA Weekly Racing program will be back in action this Sunday, June 30 at Benton County Speedway. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Wright Way Trailers, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company, Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks presented by iHeart Radio, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct will resume their weekly points battles Sunday evening. McBirnie hits all his marks in IMCA Modified main at Marshalltown

One hundred forty-seven cars came to play. Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds were running for $1,000 to the winner and Jake McBirnie, already Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational qualifying eligible, ran the track perfectly on his way to that victory. Damon Murty saw victory lane for the first time in the regular season when he won the IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature. Mallicoat motors to IMCA Modified checkers at Benton County Speedway

VINTON, Iowa (June 16, 2024) – Izac Mallicoat’s first Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win came at the Clash on the Coast in Florida back in March. His second came a little closer to home. The second-year Modified driver started 10th, but quickly found his way into contention and eventually victory lane Sunday night at Benton County Speedway. Luke Bird raced into the early lead of the Wright Way Trailers 20-lapper. He paced the field while a host of drivers gave chase. Murty takes Money Month IMCA Modified win at Marshalltown

June is Money Month for the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and it was the “Game Changer” Dallon Murty taking home the $1,000 feature win. Steve Meyer got back to victory lane in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Brayton Carter was dominant in his win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Calvin Dhondt repeated his win from last week in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Kinzley repeats at Dacotah Speedway

By Becca Pelkey MANDAN, N.D. (June 14, 2024) – Quentin Kinzley collected his second Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory in as many weeks Friday at Dacotah Speedway. Jordan Braun and Elijah Puckett started on the front row, however, it was veteran Marlyn Seidler who quickly took the lead when the green flag waved followed by Kinzley. The front pair quickly caught the tail end of the field. As Kinzley tried to pass Seidler for the lead, lapped traffic took his racing line around the ⅜-mile track. As the leaders continued to battle in lapped traffic, it allowed defending track champion Mark Dahl to close in. With five laps to go and with a clear race track, Kinzley slipped into the lead and pulled away. Seidler finished second while Dahl was third.
