Make-up features plus full show on tap Sunday at The Bullring

VINTON, Iowa (July 16, 2024) – Those unable to attend the July 14 Urbana 5 Memorial will still have the chance to see the stars shine Sunday at Benton County Speedway. The special main events for Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds presented by Wright Way Trailers and Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods fell to rain last weekend and have been rescheduled for this Sunday, July 21. A complete show for Modifieds, SportMods, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars presented by Christie Door Company, IMCA Hobby Stocks presented by iHeart Radio, Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts and INEX Legends presented by Legends.Direct will be held on the quarter-mile Bullring before the make-up features from last Sunday. In addition to the expanded night of racing, July 21 will also be Christmas in July for the kids in attendance. IMCA Hobby Stocks headline Dave Riley Memorial at Interstate

JEFFERSON, S.D. (July 16, 2024) – IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks are the spotlight division in Sunday night’s Dave Riley Memorial at Interstate Speedway. The July 21 main event pays at least $2,556 to win and a minimum of $156 to start with contingency awards to be given throughout the field. There is no entry fee. Tuttle, Reynolds, Ballard are best in rain-shortened Urbana 5

VINTON, Iowa (July 14, 2024) – Nolan Tuttle checked a must-win race off his bucket list while Kaden Reynolds and Nathan Ballard both raced to career-third Urbana 5 Memorial feature wins Sunday at Benton County Speedway. A cousin of three of the youth remembered during the 10th annual event, hometown driver Tuttle led the distance of the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compact feature, running just ahead or alongside Lukas Rick much of the 12-lapper. “This is everything I’ve ever wanted. Registration opens July 15 for IMCA Super Nationals

BOONE, Iowa (July 12, 2024) – Go ahead and set your alarm for 9 a.m. CST Monday, July 15. That’s the time drivers in seven divisions can begin pre-entering for the 42nd annual IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s. Links to driver registration, pit stall reservations and camping forms are posted at www.imcasupernationals.com. Modified, Stock Car, Hobby Stock, Northern SportMod, Sport Compact, Late Model and Mod Lite drivers must register online for the Sept. 2-7 Super Nationals at Boone Speedway. Thursday Night Thunder wins to Rust, Murty, Kuehl, Filloon, Brown, and Grady

The IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars were running for a $1,000 payday and it was Dallon Murty taking home that prize. Joel Rust returned to victory lane in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Taylor Kuehl bested the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods. A first-time winner ever at Marshalltown was Dustin Filloon in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Charlie Brown had the field covered in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites and Cristian Grady got his second win of the year in the IMCA Mach-1 Sport Compacts. VINTON, Iowa (July 10, 2024) – Benton County Speedway marks a milestone event this Sunday, hosting the 10th annual Urbana 5 Memorial. Five IMCA sanctioned divisions are on the card for the July 14 special, held to remember the five area youth killed in a 2015 traffic accident near Urbana, and to encourage people to become organ and tissue donors. An Iowa Donor Network representative will be located in a booth under the grandstand at The Bullring that evening. Kids can enter one of two drawings, for a bicycle or for another prize, while adults can purchase tickets for $2 each or three for $5 for a chance to win a Blackstone grill and accessories. Racing, fireworks beat rain at Arlington

ARLINGTON, Minn. (July 6, 2024) – Track staff worked quickly to beat the incoming rain just west of Arlington Raceway to ensure the IMCA Speedway Motors Weekly Racing program was complete and the NAPA fireworks show done. They accomplished those tasks in record time as the rains came just as the last colors hit the sky. Drivers did an excellent job in all divisions as there was some great racing action throughout the night. The IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature saw 24 cars start the feature and it was a dandy as Dakota Robinson and Brent Uecker raced side-by-side throughout, with each leading at the line and then trading positions. As the white flag was going to be displayed, a yellow came out for a stalled car next to the front wall. When the cars realigned it was Uecker and Robinson battling again. Thornton is extremely good on Xtream Night at Marshalltown

By Joyce Eisele MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa (July 5, 2024) – It was Xtream Powered by Mediacom Night at the Marshalltown Speedway on Friday night, along with Iron Horse Aviation giving some a different perspective of the races from high above with helicopter rides. A strong field of 134 cars checked in to entertain fans who saw Dylan Thornton capture his first local feature in the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified division. Austin Kaplan also took his first trip to victory lane in the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars. Matt Avila looked strong with his win in the Friesen Performance IMCA Northern SportMods and Bradly Graham got his first weekly win in the IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks. Jason Masengarb snagged feature win number two on the year in the Stealth Racing IMCA STARS Mod Lites, and Mitchell Bunch made it two in a row in the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts.
