Bombardo Outduels Maleski in Wild North Central Hobby Stock Finish

By Chris Kolstad BRAINERD, Minn. (Jul. 12, 2025) – The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature was hands down the race of the night at North Central Speedway. Josh Maleski jumped to the lead from the drop of the green and stretched out a sizable advantage over the field. Former track champions Mark Johnson and Brandon Bombardo methodically worked their way through traffic and settled into the top three in a caution-free 15-lap affair. Lapped traffic came into play with two laps to go, allowing Bombardo to close the gap to Maleski’s rear bumper. The two went at it hard in the final corners, slicing through traffic and getting together in turns three and four. Olmstead, Watts,and Sproul Sweep Ellis County Fair Races at RPM Speedway

(Jul. 12, 2025) — The Ellis County Fair featured two nights of intense IMCA racing at RPM Speedway, and the stars came out to shine as Zach Olmstead, Tyler Watts, and Dakota Sproul all pulled off weekend sweeps in their respective divisions. Saturday’s program was particularly special, featuring a multi-groove track and the emotional season debut of Brooke Russell, who honored her late uncle Danny with a tribute wrap on her car. Olmstead Sweeps the Hobby Stocks Zach Olmstead was simply untouchable in the Hobby Stock ranks. Starting up front in Saturday night’s 20-lap main event, he set the pace and never looked back. Serbus Scores Third Straight Dan Grams Memorial at Arlington

(Jul. 12, 2025) — Trevor Serbus captured his third consecutive Dan Grams Memorial RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car feature victory Saturday at Arlington Raceway — and his fifth win of the 2025 season overall, with four coming at his home track. Brandon Allen led the first lap from the pole before a caution came out when the no. 24R car spun exiting turn four. On the restart, Serbus found speed on the high side and charged through the field to take the lead. Once out front, he set a blistering pace. Brett Allen and Brandon Allen battled for second before another yellow waved on lap six. Brett slipped back to seventh on the restart but quickly recovered and advanced back into second. Andersen Dominates Stock Cars at Eagle From Start to Finish

Once out front, Andersen was untouchable, setting a relentless pace and building a lead of nearly three seconds by the time the checkered flag waved. The caution-free contest played perfectly into his hands as the field stretched out behind him. Kyle Vanover gave chase but couldn’t close the gap, finishing a solid second. (Jul. 10, 2025) — Kyle Pfeifer earned his third EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region Sunoco IMCA Stock Car feature win of the season at WaKeeney Speedway in thrilling fashion, edging Jason Rogers at the line in a dramatic finish. Pfeifer, who previously won at Colby and Hays, worked the bottom groove to perfection as he and Rogers went side-by-side in the closing laps of the 20-lap main. (Jul. 13, 2025) – Chandler, Arizona transplant Ricky Thornton Jr. stormed to a thrilling last-lap victory during the 5th annual Tanner Pelster Memorial at Boone County Raceway, scoring his first Sunoco IMCA Stock Car win of the season in the EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region and becoming the fifth different winner of the prestigious $10,111-to-win event. The 30-lap main event saw Minnesota’s Jim Horejsi and Iowa racer Maguire De Jong duel for the top spot at the start, with De Jong securing the early advantage. McBirnie, who doubled up on feature wins the week before, worked the high side to perfection and passed Jimmy Gustin for the lead. From there, he began to check out, but Gustin didn’t go quietly. In the final two circuits, Gustin reeled McBirnie back in but couldn’t make the move.
