Seibold rings up career first IMCA Stock Car win

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (May 9, 2024) – His phone started ringing right after Brian Seibold’s Thursday night IMCA Sunoco Stock Car feature win at Park Jefferson Speedway. It hasn’t stopped. The victory was Seibold’s first in nearly 120 career starts in The Class Too Tough Too Tame dating to 2019. Mike Nichols, IMCA’s all-time wins leader, Texas hotshoe Shelby Williams and Todd Gereau completed the top four behind him. “It was pretty amazing, to say the least. The top five or six guys there were fast, really fast,” said Seibold, “and when they showed up and I saw them pulling into the pits I thought to myself that this was going to be a rough night.” He added fuel but made no setup changes after going backwards in his heat, accurately figuring what his car and the track would do in the main event. Seibold drew the outside front row start, passed Corey Frye early and led the last 18 of 20 circuits, keeping Nichols & Co. at bay in a green, white, checkered finish. “He never [Read More]

He returned to win the Monday Night Madness Summer Challenge Series opener, leading all 30 laps and pocketing $2,000. “We’ve definitely had a good start to the year,” understated Berry, after wheeling the fastest of 44 Modified entries to victory lane. “There was a stout field of cars here tonight and they did a great job with the track. You could run different lines. I could move around when I needed to.” Ethan Braaksma, another driver who’s enjoyed a good start to the season, was second and Tim Ward was third. Joel Rust and Spencer Diercks completed the top five. Berry won his heat from seventh starting to earn the pole for the main event. Braaksma mounted an early challenge and back-to-back cautions flew before the last nine laps ran green. Berry stretched out his advantage over the last five of those circuits [Read More]

With Fitz running low and Cordes up top, Snyder’s pursuers closed in on the race leader before Cordes eventually swept around the outside on the final lap to steal the win. By Greg Soukup EAGLE, Neb. He’d be in the pits ‘til the wee hours of the morning getting congratulations from friends and fellow racers along with early birthday greetings. “It feels great. We’ve come close a lot of times and this time the circumstances finally worked out for us,” said Harker, who collected track titles at Eagle in 2018 and 2021 while totaling 40 Northern SportMod checkers plus special events wins in Las Vegas and around the Midwest before moving to the Modified three years ago. “Coming to the checkers I thought ‘Finally, I finally got the monkey off [Read More]
