By Joyce Eisele  BOONE, Iowa (June 15, 2024) – It was Farley’s Pre-owned Night at Boone Speedway on Saturday, and despite the gloomy forecast of rain/storms, it was no issue for the racing program and in particular for Cory Sauerman who took his first local Friesen Performance IMCA Modified win of the year. The Mod Lites rolled to the track first for their 15-lap feature event. Scott Bailey led the troops through the first seven laps of the event but seventh place starter George had quickly risen to challenge him and took command at lap eight. Shryock, Slagle, Fett, Nielsen score Hancock County wins

By Chad Meyer BRITT, Iowa (June 14, 2024) – Sam Hoffman led throughout much of the Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature on Friday at the Hancock County Speedway, but Kelly Shryock was able to slip past late for the win. Shryock waited patiently for his opening when Hoffman came off the bottom groove and led for the last four laps of the race. Jeremy Mills was the only driver on the top side late and closed to within a few car lengths with two laps to go. Lapped traffic impeded his progress on the final circuit, however, sealing the win for Shryock. Hoffman and Jason Bass completed the top four.  In the IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Parker Slagle lost the lead but a yellow flag put him back out front for a mid-race restart. He made sure to finish off the feature by holding off Kelly Shryock, Troy Jerovetz and Scott Olson.  Alec Fett started the Friesen Performance IMCA SportMod feature seventh but he was a rocket on the extreme bottom groove. Fett took off [Read More]
