UNDERWOOD, N.D. (June 13, 2026) — Jake Nelson crossed over every slider thrown his way and used the momentum of the high groove to perfection to capture Saturday night’s Tony Kniffen Memorial for Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars at McLean County Speedway. The $1,535-to-win feature served as a B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational qualifier and headlined the McLean County Fair doubleheader weekend.
Keenan Glasser and Jake Nelson shared the front row and immediately put on a show, exchanging sliders during the opening three laps before Nelson secured the lead.
Several cautions gave Marcus Tomlinson and Chris Tuchscherer opportunities to challenge on restarts, but Nelson consistently crossed over every slider thrown his way and used the momentum of the high groove to perfection.
The Williston driver raced to his second EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season, with the triumph coming at his second different track of 2026. The win also placed Nelson on the eligibility list for the B&B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational to be ran at the Speedway Motors IMCA Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s.
Tomlinson finished second, while Christopher Zenz completed the podium. Will Matejovic was fourth and Tuchscherer rounded out the top five.
Friday’s IMCA Stock Car feature saw Joren Boyce lead the early circuits before Bob Fuegmann powered around him on the high side.
Fuegmann survived several caution periods and challenges from Christopher Zenz and Marcus Tomlinson to secure his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region victory of the season.
The Minot driver started fourth and held off Zenz, who charged from seventh to second. Tomlinson finished third, while Jason Storbakken advanced from ninth to fourth. Matejovic rounded out the top five.
Wolla Masters Allan Fetzer Memorial
Friday night’s Allan Fetzer Memorial for the Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds paid $2,067 to win and served as a Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational qualifier.
Jason Wolla started on the outside front row after winning his heat race and quickly took command. Despite dealing with several cautions, the Ray driver was flawless on every restart and maintained control throughout the contest.
The victory was Wolla’s second Razor Chassis North Central Region win of the season and his first at Underwood in 2026. It also secured his eligibility for the Fast Shafts All-Star Modified Invitational.
Marcus Tomlinson charged from eighth to finish second. Steven Pfeifer completed the podium, followed by Gabriel Deschamp and Kyler Jeffrey.
Saturday’s IMCA Modified feature saw Marcus Tomlinson lead the early stages before dropping his right rear tire off the top of turn two, allowing Wolla to sneak by for the lead.
Late in the race, Wolla made a similar mistake, opening the door for Tomlinson to mount one final challenge. Wolla recovered in time and held on for his second victory of the weekend and third Razor Chassis North Central Region triumph of the season.
Tomlinson finished second, Travis Hagen was third, Pfeifer fourth, and Deschamp fifth.
Glasser and Herrera Put On A Show In SportMods
Saturday’s Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMod feature produced one of the weekend’s most entertaining races.
Trenton Erven led the first 10 laps before teenagers Payce Herrera and Keenan Glasser split him entering turn three. Glasser, who had restarted at the tail after being charged with a lap-one caution, mounted a remarkable charge through the field.
Starting eighth, the Estevan, Saskatchewan driver used the high side better than anyone and led the final nine laps to secure his ninth victory of the season and second at McLean County Speedway in 2026.
Herrera finished second after starting ninth. Dustyn Mayer charged from 13th to third, while Sladen Pfeifer and Erven completed the top five.
Friday’s SportMod feature belonged to Herrera.
Deryk Voller led the opening 14 circuits before Herrera, who started ninth, sliced through the field and grabbed the lead with six laps remaining. Once out front, the Price, Utah racer stretched his advantage to nearly two seconds.
The victory was Herrera’s ninth win of the year, earned at five different tracks, and his first at McLean County Speedway.
Voller finished second, followed by Glasser, Stan Tomlinson, and Lance Lochthowe.
Raynard and Paul Split Hobby Stock Mains
Diezel Raynard added another victory to his impressive season in Saturday’s Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock feature.
Tyson Grinstead led the opening laps before Brody Beeter moved to the point on lap three. Beeter remained in command until lap seven when Raynard, who started eighth, raced into the lead.
The Lampman, Saskatchewan driver never looked back, collecting his fourth B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region victory of the season at four different tracks.
Beeter and Grinstead completed the podium. Kyler Satran finished fourth, while Jay Loughman advanced from 10th to fifth.
Friday’s Hobby Stock feature saw Aiden Paul earn the victory.
Levi Paul led the first four laps before Satran and Aiden Paul slipped by. After a brief battle, Aiden Paul secured the top spot and raced away to his second win of the season at McLean County Speedway and second B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region triumph of 2026.
Starting sixth, the Dickinson driver topped Diezel Raynard and Cash Saxon, while Satran and Levi Paul completed the top five.
