JEFFERSON, S.D. (Apr. 10, 2026) — The Sunoco IMCA Late Models set the tone for the night at Park Jefferson Speedway, with Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, Iowa taking the early lead from Jordan Krug. Sobbing paced the field but had to withstand a last-lap slider attempt from Zach Zeitner, holding on at the line for his first Late Model win of the year and his second Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly victory of 2026, following a Sunoco IMCA Stock Car score during the Beatrice Spring Nationals. Zeitner finished second, followed by Krug, Landen Rojewski, and Cody Thompson.
The Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars delivered a strong run as Mike Vondrak led much of the feature before Dan Mackenthun went to work. Charging from 11th, Mackenthun methodically worked the bottom groove to take over and drive away to his first EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region win of the season. The Hamburg, Minnesota driver piloted the Jared Fasching-owned no. 7X to victory. Travis Barker was second, Ryan Harris third, with Greg Peck and Jordan Rogotzke completing the top five.
The Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds saw Brandon Beckendorf of Danube, Minnesota dominate up front, leading every lap of the feature. Cody Laney kept things interesting, closing in late after starting fifth, but Beckendorf held on for his second win of 2026 and first in the Razor Chassis North Central Region after a January victory during the IMCA TV Winter Nationals. Laney finished second, followed by Shawn Harker, Izac Mallicoat, and Shane DeMey.
The Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods featured a strong performance from Caleb Woodard of Bennington, Nebraska, who led all but the opening lap of the 18-lap main event. Woodard went on to score his first win of 2026. Mary Hahn finished second, with Jake Newsom third. Alec Fett and Riley Osantowski rounded out the top five.
The Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks provided plenty of action as Zach Ankrum of Sioux City, Iowa charged from ninth to take the lead at the halfway point of the 16-lap feature. Ankrum went on to secure his first B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region win of the season. Steven Taylor was second, followed by Dalton Young, Carter Davis, and Travis Landauer.
Capping the night, the Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts saw Levi Volkert of Correctionville, Iowa lead every lap en route to his first win of 2026. Lennie Anders and Gilbert Aldape completed the podium, while Tyler Thompson and Justice Limoges finished fourth and fifth.
The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV. Catch every lap again with the IMCA TV Replay Subscription, available for just $25.99/month. And don’t miss Season 2 of the Boone Docuseries, streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
