HOLYOKE, Colo. (Apr. 8, 2026) — Racing returns to northeastern Colorado as Phillips County Raceway kicks off its highly anticipated season opener with the Colorado Alliance Tour (CAT). The weather looks great at 70 degrees and sunny for Saturday, April 11, with a start time of 6:00 p.m. Fans can expect an action-packed night featuring seven divisions to launch the 2026 racing season.

Phillips County Raceway will feature five Speedway Motors IMCA classes for the season, hosting Karl Kustoms IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Kustoms IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts. Races are monthly, running April through August, skipping July.

Two out of the four races will be CAT Tour events, known for challenging Colorado drivers to step outside their zip code to compete. The CAT Tour travels to five different Colorado dirt tracks and hosts eight races, bringing drivers more money and more bragging rights.

BST Promotions is offering a Tri-State driver incentive. Nebraska and Wyoming drivers and fans will receive $5 off admission by showing their ID at the gate. Kansas drivers are guaranteed a minimum of $100 in winnings, regardless of finishing position. In addition, Phillips County will host a test, tune, and tech session on Friday, April 10 for those wanting or needing practice.

Beyond the track, fans can enjoy live music by Janelle Irwin, a beer garden, and a variety of food trucks, making it more than just a race — it’s a full night of entertainment.

Special ticket pricing for the first race is $15 for adults, $10 for military and seniors (65+), $5 for teens (13–17), and free for kids 12 and under. Tickets are available online at BSTRacing.com or at the gate on race day.

“We are excited to get the season started,” said Joe Bellm, race promoter. “This will be the first time we scheduled Saturday-only races. Since there are not any tracks near Phillips County Raceway running on the same dates, we hope to increase the car count.”
