EAGLE, Neb. (Aug. 30, 2025) — With threatening weather forecasts for Sunday and beyond, Eagle Raceway officials combined both the Friday and Saturday programs of the 13th annual IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Car Nationals into a marathon card. A total of 104 RaceSaver IMCA Sprint Car drivers filled the pits for the prestigious event.

Friday’s qualifying feature saw Carson Bolden work his way forward after an early scramble at the front. He caught leader Stu Snyder just past the halfway mark, then powered into the lead on lap 14. Once out front, Bolden set the pace while the pack shuffled behind him.

Kevin Ramey made his way into second and kept Bolden in sight, with Adam Gullion rallying late into third. Snyder held on to complete the top four transfers. Also moving on to the big show were Bill Johnson, Jake Bubak, Brady Donnohue, D.J. Estes, and Chase Brewer.

Saturday’s feature belonged to John Carney II. After a chaotic opening stretch that saw several contenders sidelined, Carney settled in near the front and found his opening on lap 14. Once he made the move to the lead, Carney hit his marks and never looked back.

Behind him, Joey Danley steadily picked off cars, climbing to second by the closing laps. Owen Carlson and Gunnar Pike were consistent throughout the 25-lapper and secured third and fourth to punch their tickets to the big dance.

Joining them as transfers were Johnny Boos, Peyton White, Trevor Grossenbacher, Dylan Waxdahl, and Tyler Drueke. For Carney, it was a statement victory heading into championship day.

Carney Wins Race of Champions

The RaceJugs Race of Champions capped the on-track action with Carney II once again the class of the field. Starting from the front row, he jumped to the lead on the opening circuit and never relinquished it, completing a perfect day.

Bill Johnson made a strong late run to claim second, with Tyler Drueke advancing into third.

Markham Masters Hobby Stock Feature at RaceSaver Nationals

In addition to the Sprint Car qualifiers, the Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks put on a strong feature event at Eagle Raceway. Dan Markham paced the field to the checkers, holding off Neil Pella and Eric Chab in the closing laps.

The victory was Markham’s second of the 2025 campaign in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region, each coming at a different track. Pella claimed the runner-up spot while Chab crossed in third.

The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV affiliate Advantage Racing TV. Catch every lap again with the IMCA TV Replay Subscription, available for just $24.99/month. And don’t miss Season 2 of the Boone Docuseries, now streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
