FRANCIS CREEK, Wis. (Aug. 1, 2025) — 141 Speedway again takes center stage as the Captain of the Creek presented by East Central Coin returns August 12 and 13, offering Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod drivers a shot at a $10,000 payday in Wednesday night’s championship feature.
Like the Clash at the Creek and the Stock Car-based King of the Creek, this SportMod-focused event uses a revamped format and awards valuable Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing National and Wisconsin State points.
Drivers will qualify through a full Tuesday night program with heat races and split qualifying features, each limited to 24 starters. Heat race lineups will be set by draw, and the top five finishers in each qualifying feature will lock into Wednesday’s $10,000-to-win main event.
Those who come up short of a transfer spot will still have a chance to cash in with the Wednesday night Non-Qualifier feature, which pays $1,000 to win.
Both nights will also feature Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds and Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars as part of the racing card.
Festivities begin with open practice on Monday August 11, with hot laps from 7 to 10 p.m. Grandstand admission is free for practice night and pit passes will be available for $20.
Tuesday August 12 and Wednesday August 13 both feature pit gates opening at 3, grandstand gates at 3, and racing at 6:30.
Spectator admission is $22 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, and free for kids 10 and under. Pit passes are $35 each day.
SportMod entry is $100 for pre-entry through MyRacePass, or $150 at the track. Registration and complete event details are available at www.141-speedway.com.
