HOLYOKE, Colo. (Jun. 24, 2025) — The 2025 racing season at Phillips County Raceway will go out with a bang as the high banks host a massive Double Header Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, June 28–29, featuring the final IMCA-sanctioned races of the year at the venue. This thrilling two-night finale not only crowns the Speedway Motors IMCA Weekly Racing track champions but also serves as a pivotal stop for the Colorado Alliance Tour (CAT), making it a can’t-miss event for fans and drivers alike.
Race fans will be treated to two full nights of action-packed IMCA racing, with Friesen Performance IMCA Modifieds, Sunoco IMCA Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMods, Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Mach-1 IMCA Sport Compacts all battling for final season bragging rights and valuable CAT tour points.
As the only IMCA-sanctioned event in Colorado this weekend, all eyes turn to Holyoke as drivers from across the region converge to chase championship glory. The unique weekend format features draw-for-heat and redraw-for-feature both nights, promising unpredictable lineups, intense racing, and big moves from deep in the field.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. Sunday night’s program will determine the 2025 IMCA division champions at Phillips County Raceway, with tight points battles expected across the board. Saturday’s races offer drivers a critical opportunity to shake down their machines and build momentum before the decisive finale.
Current track points leaders heading into the weekend include Ayden Steffens of North Platte, Nebraska in the Modifieds, D.J. Banks of Brush in the Stock Cars, Ryan Moser of Englewood in the SportMods, Trent Matson of McCook, Nebraska in the Hobby Stocks, and James Embree of Aurora in the Sport Compacts.
