ESTEVAN, SK (Jun. 6, 2025) — Gabe Deschamp handled a string of restarts and major pressure to come out on top in Friday’s 25-lap Karl Chevrolet IMCA Northern SportMod feature at Estevan Motor Speedway, part of the Tougher Than Dirt Tour.
The Westhope, North Dakota, driver adjusted his line following a lap seven caution and mastered the 3/8-mile oval the rest of the way. As the battle for second unfolded behind him, Deschamp pulled away for his third straight win at Estevan with the tour, second at the track in 2025, third victory of this year’s tour, and ninth career tour win – tying him with Erik Laudenschlager for most all-time.
Deschamp started second. Three-time Estevan SportMod champion Leevi Runge was the runner-up, while the 2006 McLean County and Geographical Center Speedway Stock Car champion completed the podium.
Raynard Awarded First Career Tour Win in Hobby Stocks
Diezel Raynard was officially declared the winner of Friday’s 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Hobby Stock Tougher Than Dirt Tour main event at Estevan Motor Speedway.
Raynard led early and withstood multiple restarts before losing the top spot to Trever Haas on lap 13. Raynard’s line adjustment after being overtaken opened the door for reigning tour champion Morgan Olmstead, who ripped the top and took the lead with three laps to go.
Olmstead was first to the checkers but was docked two positions in post-race inspection for a ride height violation, handing the win to Raynard. The Lampman driver’s first career tour triumph was also his second win of 2025 at Estevan and second in the B&B Racing Chassis Northern Region.
Ty Saxon finished second with Olmstead officially scored third.

Hjortland Wins First Career Race in Stock Car Thriller
Kayden Hjortland thrilled the hometown crowd by winning his first-ever EQ Cylinder Heads Northern Region feature in the 20-lap Sunoco IMCA Stock Car main event.
The Estevan rookie led from the drop of the green and handled a few restarts without issue. The race tightened late when Kyle Scholpp closed the gap in the final laps, nearly pulling off the upset in turns three and four on the final circuit.
Hjortland, who started third, held on for his first IMCA Stock Car victory. Scholpp was second and 2022 track champion Chris Hortness took third.
Scholpp Scores Emotional Second Modified Win of 2025
Five-time defending track champion Kody Scholpp scored his second Friesen Performance IMCA Modified victory of the season at Estevan and his second in the Razor Chassis North Central Region.
Scholpp tracked down early leader and two-time track titlist Steven Pfeifer on lap three, then built a commanding lead. He masterfully worked lapped traffic beginning on lap 15 and was exhausted in victory lane, completing his post-race interview seated on the ground with his daughters on his lap.
Pfeifer was second, followed by two-time Estevan champ Aaron Turnbull.
The event was broadcast live on IMCA TV affiliate DARN TV. Catch every lap again with the IMCA TV Replay Subscription, available for just $24.99/month. And don’t miss Season 2 of the Boone Docuseries, now streaming exclusively on IMCA TV.
