RaceSaver Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series opener April 30, $10,000-plus in contingencies given in inaugural season

BRIDGEPORT, N.J. – The stage is set. The schedule is official. Teams are anxious to start battling. The IMCA RaceSaver Mid-Atlantic Sprint Series, with the headline sponsor Engler Machine and Tool at the helm, will start its points chase at the fastest track in the east, Bridgeport Speedway in New Jersey, on Sunday, April 30. MASS Sprints can officially announce their schedule with stops in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware, at tracks such as Bridgeport, Grandview, Delaware International, Big Diamond, Georgetown, Williams Grove and Susquehanna Speedways. Gregg too tough in IMCA Modified feature at Junction’s Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw

McCOOL JUNCTION, Neb. (March 18-19) – Once the green flag flew, Justin Gregg knew he had the car to beat in Sunday’s Mike Chapin Memorial Spring Thaw main event at Junction Motor Speedway. When the checkers came out, he had the $1,000 check to prove it. Gregg led all 25 circuits in the Fast Shafts All-Star ballot qualifier. ‘Pretty good weekend’ starts with Gould’s 100th career win

CALERA, Okla. – The weekend that William Gould described as “pretty good” began with his IMCA Modified career 100th feature win and ended with his 101st. Gould used a late restart to take the lead and the milestone Modified checkers on March 17 at Heart O’ Texas Speedway. He raced to the front from eighth starting and won going away in the Kennedale Speedway Park 20-lapper the next night. “We had a pretty good weekend,” said Gould. “I probably had a third-place car Friday but the caution came out with two laps to go. Jet Racing marks 20th sponsorship season with IMCA Modified Central Region support

BEATRICE, Neb. – Jet Racing returns as title sponsor of the Central Region for Modifieds in its 20th season as an IMCA sponsor. The Beatrice, Neb., chassis builder supported special events drivers and then Stock Car and Hobby Stock regions before taking over the Modified regional role in 2012. Jet Racing is owned by four-time IMCA Modified national champion Johnny Saathoff and will provide a portion of the $6,000 point fund to be paid to top 10 drivers in the region including tracks in Arkansas, eastern Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. Boone anniversary special to be rescheduled

BOONE, Iowa – Boone Speedway has postponed its golden anniversary season special from this weekend to a July date to be determined. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sunoco Stock Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and IMCA Sunoco Hobby Stocks were scheduled to see their first action of 2017 at Boone on March 24 and 25 but a wet and cold forecast dictates otherwise.

Taylor scores two wins at Arkansas Spring Nationals

BATESVILLE, Ark. (March 17-18) – The story was similar for both nights of Batesville Motor Speedway’s Arkansas Spring Nationals. Farley Speedway to host race car show
