Baca maintains momentum with Early Thaw IMCA Modified win

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. (Jan. 18, 2024) – Chaz Baca loaded up the momentum he found at Cocopah Speedway and raced to the opening night Friesen Performance IMCA Modified feature win at Central Arizona Raceway’s Ernie Mincy Early Thaw. A two-time winner during the second week of the season-opening IMCA.TV Winter Nationals, the series and defending national champion got the best of a star-filled field Thursday at Casa Grande. After rainout, World IMCA Stock Car Championship back on track Friday

BATESVILLE, Ark. – Thursday’s scheduled World IMCA Stock Car Championship program presented by IMCA.TV at Batesville Motor Speedway was rained out. Qualifying resumes at 7:30 p.m. tonight (Friday) then Saturday at noon, with the $50,000 to win main event bringing the Saturday night show to a close. Ninety-five entries were on hand for opening night of the track’s 50th anniversary special on Wednesday. The World IMCA Stock Car Championship is broadcast by IMCA.TV.

2021 Super Nationals

IMCA Super Nationals Stock Car entries at record 221

BOONE, Iowa – A record number of Stock Cars competes at the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals fueled by Casey’s for a third consecutive year. Wednesday’s first day of qualifying sees 221 Stocks in action at Boone Speedway, up from 207 last year and 206 in 2019. “The growth in Stock Car numbers at Super Nationals reflects the growth of the division across the country both in terms of membership and sanctioned tracks,” said IMCA President Brett Root, noting that nearly 20 states are represented in entries for The Class Too Tough To Tame. Nine hundred-plus competitors will have raced as of Wednesday. Thirty heats and two qualifying features are on today’s schedule for both Modifieds and Stock Cars, along with time trial qualifying for the B & B Racing Chassis All-Star Invitational for Stock Cars and last-chance qualifiers for Hobby Stocks and Northern SportMods.
